Good grief.
'I'm all right jack' is never far behind these idiotic governments
The GVT could just paint red crosses on the doors of families that have heeded their advise properly, stayed indoors and not exposed themselves to the virus yet and even have bell ringers shouting 'unclean!"
It will become a race to contract the virus, to become immune, hope you survive, whilst putting even more strain on the NHS, under this proposal.
Apparently, we are in this together.
I reckon that months down the line (and this is the reality we are facing) people will eventually stop calling this virus with fancy medical names such as Coronavius or Covid 19 and it will become just known as 'The Plague'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit dark
For what it’s worth I think this lockdown is in place just to buy a bit of time so the big hospitals can be built, the ventilators are brought in and enough testing kits are made available then the lockdown will ease.
As many as 55 million plus people won’t die from this/will have mild symptoms etc and they can’t be stuck inside for too long as it will eventually be counter productive.
In a couple of months when ventilators are plentiful and hospital spaces are also plentiful (think NHS nightingales all over the country) then it might become a manageable risk to let people out and back to a sort of normalcy.
Calling anything a plague is a bit far fetched right now considering how many people will survive this without many health issues at all. If immunity passports allow people to get back to work knowing they’re relatively safe then why not?

Experienced Secondary Care professional Nurses Anesthetics and Doctors only have the knowledge and skills in how to prescribe, medicate and control state-of-the-art ventilators for the use of acute and critical care. It also involves sedating the patients first. It takes years of training and experience of clever people to get to this level.
Its amazing that some people actually think that critical and acute healthcare is a piece of pi55 that can be learnt from reading an instruction pamphlet.

The staff who have been tested by that time who will show as immune - which I’d imagine a high percentage of them are - they just need the confidence that a test will bring.
The WHO have mishandled plenty of this themselves - and I agree with Peks - I think the WHO are on the verge of changing their initial advice and will be saying masks are essential
“one european country has this virus under control: Czech rep
why ?“
I was sat in the office when a Czech lad was watching the news of their lockdown - this happened on 10th March, they had relatively few cases at the time and only a couple of days later borders were closed and non essential travel limited. We on the other hand were all still working almost 2 weeks after this. I don’t think face masks is the primary reason they have it under ‘control’ as you suggest
Robb
The NHS was understaffed before this crisis. It is well documented.
Also thousands of Nurses went home after Brexit and were not replaced.
One if 4 healthcare workers are in isolation at home.
Testing NHS staff and providing correct PPE is a priority. When and where is it going to happen?
(And please don't quote what Hancock says on programmes like QT. He really is clueless).

yes
and their claim the virus is only spread by relatively large airborne particles that drop to the ground within 2M is also flawed
as evidence is showing the virus in certain situations (indoors, on public transport) can be spread by aerosol much further than 2M

That’s why I’ve said in a couple of months (the reason for the lockdown) these things will be in place. This is all to buy time to get all the testing done and the PPE equipment brought in.

The lockdown can’t last for the timeframe some think it will. 6 months? As if. As soon as testing happens en masse then it will be over.
Mt missus has one pair of plastic goggles at her surgery that have been coughed and sneezed on by patients. They are not replaced, medically cleaned or sterilized. She is expected to wipe them clean herself with a cloth every morning, put them on then and carry on.
