Enjoyed Offspring before they became popular in the UK. Remember breaking into Glastonbury in the mid 90s and all i remember from the festival is seeing them on stage and Dexter Holand having a scrap with the lead singer of Therapy(liked them as well),presumably a set up scrap of course.
The only other band i remember seeing that weekend is Prodigy and i was sat on top of the 15 foot surrounding fence watching them in the distance on stage
A few that haven’t been mentioned yet:
- Glassjaw - Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence
- Sense Field - Part of the Deal
- Texas is the Reason - Do You Know Who You Are?
- Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come
- Rancid - ...And Out Come the Wolves
- RFTC - Hot Charity

The end of the 90s were all about Limp Bizkit for me - the amount of injuries I used to get in their pit during Break Stuff were hilariously high
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Terrible band.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But very fun in any metal club you went to. Gets people off their seats
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Limp Bizkit were soooo bad
As were Papa Roach and Stained

Yep. Saw them at Reading 1996.
Butthole Surfers were on before them and sarcastically asked the crowd not to throw mud at “those nice boys in Weezer”.
Amazing lineup at that festival: RHCP, Prodigy, Weezer, Offspring, Rage Against The Machine, RFTC, Black Grape, Stone Roses, Sonic Youth, Underworld, Moby, Screaming Trees, Tortoise, Ben Folds Five...

Saw them first at Newcastle Mayfair (not there anymore) after they’d just released Siamese Dream and then at what was the Nynex (now Manchester arena) when they were promoting Mellon Collie, Gish is still my favourite album of theirs though, sadly lost their way after Mellon Collie

Last time I saw them was in Manc circa 2001. Still just raw power, wall of sound stuff. Grate.

It's a good list.
I would add PJ Harvey, Swell and The Prodigy.
Portishead - Sour Times
Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted
Two great albums. I love the Pixies but their 90s stupp. Wasn't a patch on Surfa Rosa and Doolittle.
Bush were a decent band as well saw them live in 97 or 98 along with 3 colours red
