The Positives

For me,

Walking.. I spend a lot of time in the gym, on a rugby field, or on a squash court, I’d forgotten what beautiful walls there are around where I live.

Gardening.. taken it to the next level, looks immaculate, I have a greenhouse full of sunflowers, strawberries, Lillys, dwarf sunflowers, geraniums, tomato plants and many more!

Money, this won’t be for all, so I appreciate I’m in a lucky situation but I’m working from home, getting paid full wack and literally sod all to spend it on!

Money is definitely the biggest positive for me. My job is unchanged apart from working from home and I tend to go out quite a lot, so I should see a real difference in that respect.

Money and extra exercise. Im still working though. Saved money on playing football, kickboxing, petrol, betting and a few drinks every other weekend. As for exercise, no football and kickboxing has caused me to exercise differently so im going for runs. I have weights at home so no difference there.

Firmino, I don’t go out that much in terms of drinking, once every couple of weeks maybe.. mainly because of my training and being up for work early but I’ve found petrol is a big expense for me as my car is what you’d call thirsty.. so that’s where the money is saved, that and treating the kids

Shaun, I have no weights at home.. but it’s forced me to swap bench press for press-ups again, pull downs to pull ups etc.. so I’d say my overall fitness is better I reckon.. though I’ve not done much running to be fair.. walking allows me to enjoy the scenery better.. that’s my excuse 😂

I'm "lucky" enough to have been working throughout although it's challenging...... We're 80 down and counting so that also presents its problems!

Another positive..., I'm on exercise duty so I'm keeping fit having walked 18 miles in five days!

Off today, wedding anniversary, but back on duty tomorrow.

Hope all are keeping safe and sticking to the rules.

Best wishes to all.

Shaun how have you found your eating habits during the apocalypse? I must admit the routine of working from home have knocked me off a little! Eating at different times, prob not enough either! .. and instead of green tea and water through the day it’s more coffee and Diet Coke FFS 😂

I haven't got any weights but I recently bought a set of those resistance bands so I'll give those a go next week I think.

Yeah same, I don't eat much if I don't have any workouts or sport. I work 3 shift pattern my diet sometimes is not particually healthy. I've been eating Tuna when I can, its full of protein and no fat whatsoever, quite filling in a sandwich or with pasta. Im demolishing my bag of Tetleys though

More reading, exercise, family time (this can be a negative at times), watching films, and gardening

Listening to the top Classic fm 300 music pieces,
voted by the listeners, over the Easter weekend, if the
Lark Ascending wins again I will throw the biggest strop of all time!
Other than that I'm writing longhand thoroughbred 5 generation horse pedigrees and pigeon pedigrees, I've got writing fatigue, don't have a printer now, miss one!

Spending time with my kids has been a massive positive for me.

Our second was born in November and I'd returned to work. Due to my job I was leaving the house at half seven and not getting back till after six.

This meant I got to see my new born daughter awake and active very little and I'd get a fraction of the good interaction time that my wife was getting.

Now I'm on an even footing and I'm loving being a stay at home (in every sense of the term) dad.

My dad has a very weak chest, has had several heart attacks and lung problems along with intermittent drops in blood pressure and he's extremely old.

The positive ?

He suffered from constipation but not now

Only 1 positive so far, saved 2 hours per day commuting to work. Just a shame time isn't that valuable at present.

petrol prices for me are about 40% lower. only going to and from work so not taking advantage of the lowest prices in 15 years.

Petrol is 1.03 in Norfolk atm. Cheapest ive seen it in my 12 years of driving. Can't barely use the pretrol though so what's the point :/

Mont, I didn’t know that about petrol prices.. I vaguely remember filling up about a month ago.. think I might fill up again at some point and take advantage of that 👌

Working as normal.

Main change is living in the conservatory isolated from the rest of the family. I have a blow up bed, chemical toilet and about 2 foot of floor space left. Family are scared I will bring it back home.
