Have you read the press reviews for Killing Eve series 3, to be released on Monday.?

Harsh.

BBC gave it 5 stars (I guess it would tbh)

Has 75% on rotten tomatoes. Sounds like it’ll be as good as the previous 2 - I hope at least

Tabloids seem to like it. Broadsheets seem to slate it.

I'll be watching anyway. I am sure it will be gripping stuff, as usual.

True Detective had a great first season. Wouldn't say the second season was crap though and I haven't seen the third one.

Trying to think of a tv drama that stays strong all the way through, beyond s4 or 5...

Tbh, if you can't wrap up a story before that, it probably wasn't worth telling in the first place. Padding out successful shows to chase advertising revenue is always going to ultimately be self-defeating.

How about they start making some shows with actual staying power.

They have a huge problem with maintaining levels. Many start faay and then fade. A lot of series endings are really crap.

Red Dwarf - great for a couple of series. Now that dead horse has been well and truly flogged.
