His pressers are mad.

Any criticism, or investigative queries are met with "you're fake" or a slight regarding ratings.

He had an Absolute rant at CBS and their reporter yesterday.
He has bigger issues than just being a minor nutjob. He's a threat to the entire planet.

Has ever been a man with so much power with such limited vocabulary? Each of his presser look like a 10 years old who has just been asked to talk about his holidays.

Saw that. His incompetence aside the situation has been compounded by the fact it's an election year.

Forcing individual states into bidding wars against each other for PPE, does nothing to protect/save lives but can be used to deflect blame away from his administration.

I don't blame him. So many reporters are more interested in trying to embarrass him than doing their jobs.

Didn't notice anyone "trying to embarrass him" during his recent presser?

The CBS reporter made some very valid points, which he was unwilling/unable to answer coherently.

So that makes it OK for the president to attack them on the podium instead of answering the question? What the fack logic is this? It doesn't matter the motivation of a journalist if he has done nothing wrong. The president should answer any valid question with respect. He is defensive and on attack mode constantly and people defend it and shift blame to journalists.

Trump is in office because the education systems have worked according to plan and people are now dumb robots that lap up anything that they're told in popular media and opinion, because they sound smart when they regurgitate it as their own opinion.

They don't try to embarrass him, they are actually doing THEIR jobs.
The level of journalism has declined so much in the past few years, even in this country that people don't even know anymore what it should consist of

So when he answers by saying 'fake news' then they take that as his answer then and move on?

Which came first? Chicken or egg?

Reporters go to Trump events ready to be stripped down and embarrassed in front of the world. Have to be ready for anything when dealing with a loose cannon that doesn't care if you get sacked.

Can you evidence this?

I watched the presser and saw no one attempting "to make him look bad" He was successfully doing this to himself, as looked completely out of his depth.

This is a POTUS that has continually referred to the press as "the fake news media" and launched a war against facts.

Whilst there are those who have endeavoured to undermine him, I didn't see any of this during his recent press briefing.

I watched it (not on the BBC though).

The CBS reporter was questioning Trump about his decisions in the early stages of the CV19 pandemic. Which have since been proven to be misguided. He continually tried to downplay the severity of the disease, and did not act on WHO advice.

Trump argued the travel restrictions bought some time.

The CBS reporter asked what he did during the month of February (to prepare) that this time gave him.

Trump couldn't answer, and then attempted to change the timeline of events, which the reporter pulled him on.

As he didn't care for facts, he called her "fake" and "disgraceful." Again, rather than debate the matter he resorted to insults.

To her credit the reporter stood her ground, which more should do when faced with untruths/misinformation.

This is not "making him look bad" but holding him, and his administration to account. As any journalist should be doing.

This.

Again, she was doing her job, as simple as that.

But because people are not used anymore to see a journalist challenging a politician when needed, instead of just bending over, it is seen as shocking and unprofessional.
It is happening over here too. During the campaign, Johnson completely refused the interview with Andrew Neil but instead did it with Laura Kuenssberg because she will never challenge him.

It was disrespectful. She’s talking to the president of the United States of America’s and she’s cutting him off when he’s answering the question she’s asked him.

If she wants to challenge him, let him finishing speaking and then raise your point.

They are not allowed to respond though! He gives no actual answer spits his dummy out. He is pathetic and now reporters are getting sick of his childish behaviour.

To be fair they both interrupted each other.

You could see she was getting frustrated (as I imagine anyone would be given the propaganda he wanted to get out) but Trump was simply unhappy with her line of questioning, as it was exposing his administration's failings.

posted on 14/4/20

Yeah but it's different for Trump to cut off the reporter than for her to cut off him (in my opinion at least).

I think it's fair enough for her to challenge him if it's done respectfully. I just thought it was disrespectful to interrupt him while he's answering the question you asked and shows that attitude that a lot have that it's more fun to attack Trump and try and have a swing at him rather than actually just do your job and ask him questions.

I've seen the same with politicians in this country when they're questioned, they're being constantly interrupted as they try to answer. It comes across like the people asking the questions are more interested in making the politicians look bad (rightly or wrongly) than actually hearing out what they have to say.
