Kyle Naughton

Will Naughton ever break through to the Spurs team whilst Walker is in the side? Walker is 21 and Naughton will be 23 in November but at the moment it looks like a one horse race however who would have thought BAE would become the player is he today? He is now 27 so there's plently of time for Naughton to develope.

If Naughton continues to gets a good run of games at Norwich you just never know what might happen. I hope one day when Corluka leaves or is sold( not that I want him to just yet) Naughton is brought into the squad. Harry might switch Walker to right midfield like he did with Bale which could open the door for Naughton and with our luck in injuries I reckon he would get plenty of chances at Spurs. Good luck to the lad.

i thought that something bad happened to the walker one, if the naughton one got fully seperated ?

comment by look like modric-life begins again (U7431)

In my view he is better at left back, where he is more tactically aware of what is going on.

When they both played for the Blades, I think I am right in saying that Naughton held down the right back slot and Wlaker played at left back? Be interested to see if any of them can comment on that?

I'd be happy enough with Corluka sold and Naughton as back-up to Walker.

Naughton is the same time of player so we wouldn't have to worry about tactic changes, he's English, less wages and bonuses then Corluka and Corluka would bring in more money from a transfer fee.

Corluka has the versatility to play at centre back and I don't believe either of the kyles can do that.

Walker can play centre back, not sure about Naughton.

But Corluka gives me nightmares at centre back

Very interesting thread as I know little about Naughton

@harrysdisciple

It is slightly confusing but Naughton was at right back then Sheff Utd's left back got injured causing Naughton to switch to the left and Walker coming in at right back. A few weeks later the first choice left back returned but couldnt budge either Kyles from the team!

However there was one game where the blades had a player sent off in about the third minute and Walker deputised at left back for about 87 mins looking pretty solid. (if i have remembered correctly!)

@Edinspur

Both Kyles can play at centre back, Walker is a lot better there than Naughton though in my opinion. I think Walker has played there for Spurs but may be wrong.
