Talk that Spain won’t allow fans back into stadiums until 2021.

This is sad news for any club that cannot get on TV.

They may as well fold or try to hibernate. No need to start new seasons.

Right so I can literally, and this is in England, get a bus into town, go around Tescos shopping, pop to B&Q, do some more shopping, come home and then order a curry but there is zero chance of football returning behind closed doors apparently.

Just bizarre that people would say things with absolutes.

It’ll fack many clubs in Spain. Most clubs there rely on gate receipts.

The same thing will probably happen in the UK. They won't allow thousands to gather in the coming months, no way.

Lots of clubs in England, majority of clubs below the Championship, and some in the Champipship will be literally facked. IMO they will need a bailout from their big brother, the Prem.

I don’t think it will be nearly as bad in England as in Spain. There will be enough good will from the EFL, PL, FA and the government, and a lot more money with it, to soften the blow for the football pyramid. Spain just doesn’t have the same capability.

Hope you're right.

I personally think some people just enjoy this.

Everytime you go out, other than for really essential items, then you are playing Russian Roulette with your life. That is your call.

I thought you said it was the Governments call.

Tbh I think I've already had it but I wont be at the games anyway.

My missus just doesn't get it. We are going to Ohio the weekend to see her mum who is pretty depressed and in here 80s.

So i have been laying out the risk and it just never sinks in so i literally had to count the points of exposure we have had this week which we could possibly, however unlikely, pass on.

Turns out we have had 14 points of contact in the last 6 days alone. Take out food once, package deliveries, neighbour being a nob, pick up shopping, gas, and one store stop.

Not really. Robbing could be in the demographic that won’t suffer death, as a result of the virus. It’s not Russian roulette if there are no bullets in the gun.

Sandy , life can’t and will not stop. Life goes on mate, we adapt and use measures for now, but life goes on. If it doesn’t, countries would be in ruin, hence the measures to get things back to normal ASAP by everyone.

feel sorry for the older folks because they are going to have to really shelter for the foreseeable as they will not be given any protection like vaccines etc.

Nobody is saying life will stop Don, but football comes a long, long way down any Government's priorities for getting the country up and running again. Or it should be.

I disagree, football will be seen as a way to pacify the natives and get a feel good factor going, it would be very important in reality. A sign of normal times ahead.

He doesn't know that though for sure. I am sure there are lots like Robbing who thought they would never get it, and are now awaiting burial. I just don't get how anybody is not taking this deadly seriously.

There’s a Culture Secretary for a reason. They’re important, billion pound institutions that have a massive influence on the economy and life of the people.

Getting these sporting industries up and running will certainly be one of their priorities.

I really don't see the government walking around for the foreseeable future saying 'nope thats it, life is effectively over for now get used to it'.

Well the government held talks with the Premier League this week over the prospect of making the remaining games available free on TV.

I dunno, Robbing’s an intelligent enough bloke to know how to mitigate the chance of getting the virus, as well as knowing his own personal circumstances regarding his own health. I wouldn’t say him going to the shops is playing Russian roulette with his own life, he wouldn’t do it otherwise.
