Belgium has the most daft league system in Europe. Every single team in the league can go into a Europa play off, as can teams from the division below, but their FA has decided this is their league system and process of allocating European spots. UEFA haven’t banned them.
Champions League football next season then!

Eh? UEFA offers the leagues a certain amount of entrants to their competitions. It’s up to those FA’s how they decide the qualifying process.

They’ve left it open to the leagues to interpret sporting merit. Sporting merit has always been one of their guidelines for European qualification, but it’s vague and UEFA tend not to get involved in qualifying processes.
Which is why in England you need to win a cup or finish in one of the top league places. While in Belgium you can finish 5th in the second division and qualify for a Europa play off.
"UEFA reserves the right to refuse or evaluate the admission to any club proposed by a National Association from a prematurely terminated domestic competition"

No idea what people are even arguing.
If the league is abandoned at this point then they are not going to suddenly hand spots to random teams based on other seasons results.
Arsenal and Spurs will not be playing in Europe next season because both have been hopeless.
First off they will take teams still standing in this seasons competition and then look at teams league efforts through the abandoned season.

And that’s them talking about leagues being ended prematurely, though they also then said special cases would be considered. We are discussing European qualification, and how it’s up to the national FA’s to decide this. If the seasons can’t be completed, this will still be the case.

Squirming? I’ve maintained one stance the whole time, that the FA’s decide European qualification for their leagues.
Where did I say that, pranks? The FA can do that, though. They decide how clubs qualify for Europe. Look at other leagues that have play offs to decide them.

The FAs run the league and are told which positions will go into Europe.
UEFA even awards and takes away CL and Europa places from a country at will by amending that law. They can give you 3 places or four depending on how they interpret the coefficients.
Also, how does UEFA hand out European bans to the likes of City?
It looks like they have total control which is expected as it's their competition.
