Dutch league had 2 teams on equal points at the top, very harsh to award a title there.

They have done well to follow UEFA guidelines.
"National Associations and Leagues, should otherwise have the ability to decide the final positions in their domestic competitions, having regard to the specific circumstances of each competition;"
Seeing as Ajax and Alkmaar were joint top, there can be no title as the "specific circumstances" of the competition don't allow. Compare that to Scotland and England where the leader is some way clear of the rest.
None of the teams have any complaints, the only problem they will have is the failure to promote teams. Reports saying there will be protests.

a very sensible decision that all top European leagues (and EPL) shud follow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This.
It makes you wonder ..
Surely all the leagues have to start at the same time, right?
So say the PL decides to keep playing this season and it finally finishes in say, September and probably has to have another break for things like playoffs, transfer window, new pre season etc.
Will the Dutch league have to wait until the PL starts the 20/21 season, possibly as late as October/November?

I don't think there's any leagues that start at the same time, is there?

I mean roughly
Like for example, if the Dutch league starts in August, does it make sense for the PL to start in October/November?

Nope. Dutch league doesn't even start at the same time as Prem.
All leagues control schedules as they have different number of teams in the leagues. Some have 16, 18, 20 teams, some have more than 20.
If your team enters the Europa league very early, you end up playing some teams that are in the middle of their league in July-August. I know this as I'm a Liverpool fan and we've been there.

Its something that can be planned around IF it happens. Certainly not an impediment IMO but you never know.
Tbf there was only one week in it between the start of the Eredvisie and the PL this season in terms of start date

True, but from there the differences keep growing and growing. They have fewer teams and even get a winter break, which was just introduced in England.
I get your point though. Under current circumstances anything that proceeds must be synced to a degree.
We would not do it at all, far to much of a backlash with fans and lawyers!
There has to be some form of alignment across the leagues. And everyone will want that to coincide with the main European competition dates.
So Belgium did the opposite and awarded the title to the top side etc
Surely the Dutch cannot have teams in Europe next season if there is European football
This is the most ridiculous thing that’s ever been debated - finish this season when you can and that’s the end of the matter - it’s doesn’t matter whether that’s May, August or January 2021 but the whole integrity of the game has gone forever instead of it remaining and things being a little behind
There is the Dutch league and then there is going against Liverpool, Bayern, Juve, Barca/Real & PSG. Big boys will always win
Whatever happens, I’ll go along with
Beyond caring whatever happens now
I'd prefer the season to be completeted in exactly the same was it has been played out so far. Seems a bit pie in the sky for that though.
So maybe the Dutch method is the way to go. IF that were to happen I'd prefer the FA to not nominate any clubs for European competition next season.
