----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's delusion to think people sending death threats was what made Gerrard stay, when the actual reason is public knowledge, when the player himself has stated otherwise. It's just another Gerrard myth, along with moved to another position because he couldn't be trusted in his natural position which he played when he was world class and came third in the Balon D'or. Or that he was poor for England, despite being one of the top performers, getting into team of tournement at the EURO's, voted England's player of the year twice and being fourth in record appearances.
Do you expect Gerrard to admit he stayed because of death threats?

google "Gerrard Chelsea death threats"

Or listen to what Gerrard says who says he didn't and it was BS.

Seriously?

No, as it wasn't the reason. He has talked about the reason, at the time and later on.
Perhaps read a little about information you have no knowledge on before trotting out a myth you've heard? Now that I would expect.

You're right. It's not like Fergie, Henry, Xavi, Ronaldinho and Zidane know what they were talking about.
Awful players 😅
He could have went to Madrid also, according the Zidane.
"I have said in the past that at his peak he was the best in the world
I think it was the summer of 2004 I was having a conversation with Florentino (Perez) and I told him I wanted him to partner me in midfield for Madrid.
I know the club tried twice but he wouldn’t leave Liverpool. Not many players turn down Real Madrid but I think that tells you a lot about the loyalty of the man."
But you keep trotting out a myth

Would have been great for Zidane to have a workhorse next to him. Can see the appeal
but I think that tells you a lot about the loyalty of the man.

FFS man, you guys SENT HIM DEATH THREATS. It doesn't count as loyalty if it took death threats to convince him to stay. It's just fear, not loyalty.

He can't be trusted to be a workhorse. They'd probably have stuck him in the Pogba role; do feck all, let your teammates do all the work then if it happens to come to you, remember you're a footballer.

This thread has become a farce.
Can we all agree that PL title wins aren’t a marker for individual brilliance - just as the European Cup isn’t a marker for Djimi Traore being better than Vincent Kompany.
Is this based purely on their time in the PL wahldude?
