I’ve seen about ten people I know posting whilst sitting in parks, dropping food off to friends, picking up takeaways etc.
======

Bar sitting rather than walking none of those are breaking the actual rules.

However, your mate dropping things via the tube aint great.

Dropping food off for friends and getting takeaways are okay though.

If you’ve got fake tiiiits and over 5k followers on Instagram then the rules don’t apply

Since when? It’s not essential

For extra context, the food he dropped off was a birthday cake and the friend is young, fit and healthy

Tbf, other than sitting around in the park, you can do those things, people have actually been encouraged to pick up food for people in “at risk” groups so they don’t have to leave the house.

I agree it is frustrating to hear of people having large social gatherings at their house with non-house residents, people not respecting social distancing and what have you.

It’ll be hard enough to get the curve to slope, then flatten it with people who are seemingly unwilling to do what’s being asked.

Dropping a birthday cake off for your mate isn’t really infringing on social distancing.

What gets me is the DVDs. I just don't understand why anyone who's young and living in London doesn't have a laptop and internet connection.

If she's 18 now can you give us all the address of this young, fit and healthy lady. I'm sure that many blokes would be willing to queue up (observing distancing regulations) to deliver food to her. Only problem is that if she ate all the food she might not be fit and healthy any more. Dilemma, Dilemma.

He’s questioned why I’ve voted Tory in the past due to the way they supposedly underfund the NHS

There's no 'supposedly' about it.

Is this the real reason you're upset Edbo? Your mate is right. It's a shame it's taken a pandemic to make people realise the NHS is valuable.

I don’t mean this in a patronising way but it sounds like you don’t have a grasp of the government guidelines.

No, it’s the hypocrisy of him. You’ve got the NHS begging people to stay at home yet here he is making pointless journeys.

i hope u asked him if he thinks if that was essential travel? and if not explained to him what you are allowed out for.

But you can't judge him if you voted Tory. What you did is much worse for the NHS than dropping off a cake outside someone's front door.

I understand the guidelines, I also understand someone could drop a birthday cake round for a friend without infringing on any of the principles of social distancing and so have a negligible effect of spreading the virus, it really wouldn’t be a cause of concern for me.

In the further context that it’s just quite a human and nice thing to do, and that it could be done in part of your government sanctioned daily exercise, I wouldn’t give it second thought. There’s much bigger issues lol.

taking the tube half way across london to drop off a cake wasnt it?

Oh travelling on the tube..sorry I didn’t see that. That’s a lil bit silly.

Facking outrageous behaviour should be ashamed. Atleast when I went to my second home, it was 268 miles in my own car, minus the 3 hitchhikers I picked up. People should be more responsible like me.

Only the one that was coughing.

Even if all 10 of your mates had posted pictures of themselves licking their local bus stops. they’d still be putting less pressure on the NHS than by voting Tory, so...

The other two are locked in the basement in the second home.

Other than using the tube, which sh2be avoided in the current circumstances, none of the actions breach the guidelines.

And if you voted Tory, the NHS is in this state because of people like you.
