Thank you. Tour thoughts on the topic at hand?
Why ha you repeated the post below?
They said it would start this week too.
I guess we won't know if it's a good idea until it happens. Are players who live with elders or vulnerable allowed to play?

They are allowed but wont want to, which means some squads will be weakened.
Cant see it happening here myself. Too many barriers.
Germany have handled Corona much better than most in the world, but this would be a big, big mistake to restart football so quickly. It can only be driven by money.
Once a footballer tests positive, that will be the end of it again.

They're 'limiting' the number at any game to 300.
You can't even go in a shop with your missus here.
the good of the players staff and families? im sorry but why do they get special treatment? they get paid more than the people still having to work for a living.
Unlike key workers theyll be a lot better looked after too, pampered n tested to the max.
300? theres more at my local supermarket than that. Saw more queuing up outside kfc the other day.

These players and their families being used as pawns by football fans to accomplish whatever end suits their club.
Despicable.

bollox m8 theyre opening the shops too not just the essential ones, first stage is over, lets assume theres 3 stages or more, countries were never going to stay in full lockdown for all 3 were they?
Life must go on even if you take all sport out of it. However theres more too sport than just watching it, they provide livlihoods for millions too so they need to get on with life too otherwise when it is eventually over there will be no life left for them to go back to or atleast not much of one and one where it all spirals out of control from there.
As i said plenty of people are having and have had to still go to work for their living who have had little to no protection supplied from anyone employer or government which these privileged lot i assume will have in abundance.

I think everyone on here understands this to be true but many just dont want to factor it into their rationale because it doesn't suit their preference.
Any thread discussing a resumption of football is soon set upon by some people posting how many people have died that day and how wrong it is to be contemplating a resumption.
Then they skip off to another thread to discuss how football should return next season . Its only a bad thing when they don't agree.
There's a blue moon of dishonesty in the sky with people even pretending they won't be watching the action if it returns

At least 5 footballers have already. They have been quarantined, the rest were tested again, all negative and life carries on as usual.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When were they found to be positive?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No idea. It was reported a couple of days ago that something like 5 players across the two top leagues had been found positive in the 2 weeks they had began running tests at the training grounds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it would be different once the league starts things as if a player tests positive who had been on the pitch both his team and the team they played would have to go into quarantine possibly. If they’re trying to get the season wrapped up in a short space of time that could be catastrophic to that timeframe

A player will be tested 12 hours before the game. He won't be on the pitch with it. In the unlikely event that does happen, all will be tested, as they would anyway, and those that are positive go into isolation. No big deal. The chance of getting on to the pitch whilst positive is pretty slim.
______
No big deal

The plans are there, unbelievably, but I still think the league won’t restart. I’ve said before that footballers are too stupid to trust when it comes to following social distancing and came across this article this morning https://amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2020/may/06/bundesliga-football-puts-its-reputation-on-the-line-with-return-in-late-may
This is the sort of news that will anger the public and in turn lead to pressure on the government to stop this from happening

It's already been proven that it is no big deal. You test positive, you go into isolation the same as anyone else has and would have been. If anything, it is getting caught way before 99.9% of other people would catch it and the % of people in the demographic of age and fitness of pro footballers having any issues is around 0.02%. So yes, no big deal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No big deal 12 hours before a game to possibly lose 1 or 2 of your players to a positive test
I'm surprised too but why aren't the Germans as concerned as the experts here on JA606.
I'm sure they haven't considered all these points being made here on JA.
