I don’t think it has anything to do with him being a footballer, I’m sure thousands of people have done similar things.

How sad do you have to be to actually care enough to harass him over this?

I dont see any issue at all with this.

So he delivered something to his sister, I'm pretty sure amazon is doing a lot of this, and if they have both been self isolating then so what if they hugged. I cant blame him either, first thing most of us will do when we see our loved ones again is hug them. At the most I'd say this was a little dumb on account of how we all know he will be been followed by the press because of who he is and what he has done

He then went and got some food, unless you are going to have a go at everybody who goes to supermarkets now than could you please explain how getting some meals is so wrong. I'm serious there, how is going to get food wrong when takeaways and supermarkets are also open and doing this.

People want to judge him because he was dumb and had śêx workers around for an orğy when this all kicked off, actually what he has done here is not terrible at all.

Here are Kyle Walkers own words after his first lockdown breach:

“I want to take this opportunity to issue a public apology for the choices I made last week which have resulted in a story today (Sunday) about my private life in a tabloid newspaper,” Walker’s statement read.

“I understand that my position as a professional footballer brings the responsibility of being a role model. As such, I want to apologise to my family, friends, football club, supporters and the public for letting them down.

“There are heroes out there making a vital difference to society at the moment, and I have been keen to help support and highlight their amazing sacrifices and life-saving work over the past week.

“My actions in this matter are in direct contrast to what I should have been doing regarding the lockdown. And I want to re-iterate the message: Stay home, stay safe.”
_____

If you can't see problem with saying that and then breaking the lockdown again and again and 3 hour round trip to get some home cooked food off your mum, whilst telling everyone else to stay home, maybe you're part of the problem too.

My sister was 50 last month.

I sent her a card (ordered online to me and reposted) and put a gift in the card for her.

She lives about 25 miles from me, but at no point did I think of going over to give her a pressie (or a hug for that matter!)

It's called "being a responsible citizen". This dunce seems to think that it doesn't apply to him, so he deserves all of the 'mental anguish' he gets.

PS - I think the only 'mental anguish' he's suffering is due to him being called-out for being a selfish t**t who thinks the rules don't apply to him.

I don't like the rules, but they're here to try and protect everyone, can't just say I don't see harm in that one so no need to follow that etc.

Firstly it's selfish and puts others in danger, secondly its an awful example to set to kids who look to adults as to how to behave, what you're saying to the kids is don't worry about rules you can break them if you choose.

You would think that after being caught first time and having to issue a grovelling apology, he'd be very careful in future.

It's as if some folk feel the rules don't apply to them, it sets an awful example for him and the sport.

Like I said, in the deleted comment, I’ve been in lockdown since the most vulnerable were told to, so no I’m not not part of the problem, and I stand by the fact you just want to be miserable during this and as a result lash out at everyone anyway you can.

I'm not lashing out at anyone, I'm saying that I think at this time, when football needs all the good will it can get, this is a poor example to set.

Jonty, it’s absolutely awful in the cul de sac where I live people having visitors all the time. Makes me so annoyed. There are some very stupid people around. The lockdown is to save lives but clearly some people are too stupid to understand this. As for Kyle Walker, absolute disgrace. He should be setting an example. He’s admired by many young kids I suspect and he needs to remember that and behave.

I don't agree with the stringency of the rules, I dot see too much problem with people sunbathing or reading in a park if theyre away from others and maybe they have no garden at home.

But, the rules are there, we can't just pick and choose which rules we obey, otherwise it's anarchy.

Any parent or person who deals with kids should understand how much of an influence adult behaviour is, it's awful seeing parents disregard rules with their kids, it send out such an awful message.

Why when a footballer does something are footballers as a group chastised?

Every industry will have its share of ignorant people, the vast majority of footballers are normal decent people.

I find this generalisation lazy and unfair.

I think its human nature to group people - kids, adults, white, black, old, young, generalisations everywhere.

Unfortunately the negative aspects stick more than the positive, was it Angel Rangel who used to drive round and give out food to homeless people?

Every person is missing their family. Every single person. Most are still able to socially distance.

I have no sympathy for him. Zero. I have some sympathy with families in small houses and little to no garden space. I have sympathy with those that have lost their jobs.

He’s just an entitled and inconsiderate pr!ck.
