Forgot that one. What Moyes had done was more than fixable though. Our transfers have been a disaster.

His biggest mistake undoubtedly was leaving Aberdeen.

I’m sure he regrets that no end.
No mention of selling Stam? Kicking a boot at Beckhams head? Under-estimating Wenger in 97/98?

Selling Stam didn’t cost us greatly and we got Rio instead. Same with Beckham as we got Ronaldo.

Not signing Henderson

Don’t get me wrong he’s a good player but don’t think he’d have made a huge difference at United.
Nothing about not playing Pogba, losing the league and losing the player

Another good one
Losing an 8 point lead with 6 games to go and forfeiting the title on the final day to those horrid lot.
Sending Gary Neville to show Aaron Ramsey around instead of his hero Giggs
Ramsey isn’t exactly world class - far from it but might have become very but for an injury received playing for Arsenal. Sliding doors moment?

Wouldn’t say that was his mistake as such. These things happen in football and the fact that he was level on points with a City side who were man for man much better than us again shows his greatness in some ways.
We lost to Wigan and bottled a 4-2 lead at home to Everton, I think a lot of that can be attributed as a SAF mistake. Bringing back Scholes that January instead of signing an actual half decent midfielder would’ve got us over the line.
Not getting Van Der Saar earlier

Scholes was actually good when he came back to be fair. We overachieved massively even being on par with that City side.

Yes I agree with that. Should never have let him go to Fulham. Such a strange transfer. Was there more to it?

Dropping an 8 point lead with 6 games left in 2012
Tactical naivety in CL vs Porto, Leverkusen, Monaco etc.
Thinking he could show his face in the tunnel against Arsenal and wouldn’t get a pizza thrown in his face lol
Playing a midfield two against Barcelona in the second final.
I can forgive him the first one.

Especially when one of those was 38 year old Giggs. In reality we had a favourable run to the final that year and probably would have lost regardless of selection.
4-2 up against Everton But still bombing forward, Fellaini running the show, should have stopped him by hook or by crook, stuck Rooney on him, fouled him floored him, stamped on his head, closed the game out al la José bad game management, yes if evras header had gone the other side of the post, the game against the 10 men relegation threatened QPR would have irrelevant and the bitters would have had to crawl back into their blue bubble for another year
Playing Hernandez up top was bizarre
