He defended Boris.
.....
I haven’t defended Boris. I actually don’t like him.
I just like the alternatives in the U.K. even less. Corbyn would have tried to make friends with the Virus and god only knows what Diane Abbott would have done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You literally have defended him on this thread. I can post the comments if you like.
You only have whataboutery- bringing up Trump and Corbyn. Boris is doing a bad job independent of other world leaders and would-be UK leaders. That’s not the debate. Surely you know this?

Had he posted them yet?
Yes I had a brief look but I dont want to have a proper look as what I suspect actually has happened is this and I wanted to see if it's true.
He won't have defended Boris at all but rather he will have come up in conversation. However, with a big dollop of spin, a smattering of goal post moving and an unhealthy insistence on willful misinterpretation so as to 'win' you will have come to that conclusion regardless of what the actual words are.
Change my mind.

From what I can see, the problem the Tories have at the moment, in terms of public perception of how they have handled this, stems from that week back in March when they tried to go with the herd immunity thing. After telling people that they were going to lose loved ones, Johnson shuffled off stage reminding us to wash our hands, with many feeling that the vulnerable were being thrown under the bus to preserve the economy. Now, whether they were right or wrong to feel that isn't my point. The point is that, within a week, we were told that "the science had changed" and 250,000 were set to die. How much could it have changed, really? Even then, instead of admitting an error, they brought in changes a day at a time, and quite meekly at first.
Those few days not only meant countless more infections and thus deaths, it also made the government appear weak and vacillating. I tend to agree that some of these new guidelines should be common sense and many people should be able to put them into practice without being held by the hand. But even when ministers have tried to explain things like visiting parents, they seem to have bumbled and contradicted one another.
I think they are on a hiding to nothing, in their defence, as it's an awful situation with no clear answer - soon, we're going to have to get back to some kind of normality even at the risk of a second spike. But things like the testing failure - they had basically abandoned it in the early weeks of lockdown, except in hospital cases - and the lack of PPE for frontline workers, as well as the equivocating discussed above, mean that they have surely lost a lot of public trust, to put it mildly.
It doesn't surprise me that the countries run by Johnson and Trump have been hit so hard - the former strikes me as being quite detached from the realities of "ordinary" people's lives, while the latter is simply insane, a child in an expensive suit.

Like when VC says ‘I haven’t defended Boris’
Just hours after saying things like
‘ Because Boris understands the reality of the virus’
And
‘ Our one ( Boris ) is nowhere near as dangerous as the one this side of the pond’
And
‘ Boris was damned if he did and damned if he didn’t’
And
‘The only real bad marks were for the slow reaction which as far as I can tell was Boris getting bad advice’
I’m sure there’s more. But of course, VC didn’t defend Boris ðŸ˜
Robbing, remember, words mean things. I’ll give you my address and you can pop round and I can educate you anytime you like.
