promotion & relegation can only be if the season gets finished, no team deserves anything until all the results are in
l'pool do not deserve the title, we do not deserve promotion, norwich do not deserve relegation as it stands
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wrong on all counts, kamara.👎
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you still say the same if this had happened with one game to play?
What if all sides had played their games with the exception of a single mid table clash that had been postponed due to the FA cup final and at this stage the season was unable to continue?

Playing football when 600 plus people are still dying daily is insanity.
----
Thousands of people have gone back to work this week in non-essential jobs. Why is football any different?
The government said that if you can't work from home, go to work. Footballers can very feasibly go to a training ground and be safe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes this claim that football cannot be played because people have died is weird.
There were approx 500,000 deaths in the uk last year which means that on any given day there was an average of 1,370 deaths yet I have never heard anyone say that this is a reason for football to not take place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is a distraction type argument.
To make football safe at the Prem and Champ levels may requires 100k tests over the 5 week period needed to complete the season. This is a small number in comparison to the goal of 100k tests a day and the number of tests that would be needed for any other significant industry in the UK.
There will always be avoidable deaths in our lives, it is just part of life. The key is to reintroduce football in a safe manner for players, coaches, referees and other essential staff for games to be played.

Tbf, you're not six-inches away from one another, breathing on each other, touching your face, then touching someone else etc, much easier to social distance in other jobs, it's literally impossible to do it with a contact sport.
I think if the number of new infections were lower, like around the 100-150 per-day range, people would be more comfortable with it, but we're nowhere near that.
No crowds, self-isolating, numerous testing and now, turning your head away when you tackle, the football authorities are basically saying to players, "we know it's not safe but can you just get on with it anyway?"
There are people in "normal" jobs, who don't want to go back, there are people who haven't gone back even though their workplace is open, it's not like we've all gone flooding back the day after Boris' announcement, people, including sportsman, are still being cautious out of fears for their, and other people's, safety.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which is why football isn't kicking off tomorrow. These players are simply being asked to prepare to be ready to play in a month's time when, one would hope, we will all be looking at a return to normalcy.

There's almost a precedent set for that; they'd most likely play the game, let it get to 48 minutes then let the home fans run on the pitch and have the game abandoned. It would be declared the result stands at 0-0 as neither team is deemed important enough for them to give a shiny sh-te, and as one final poke in the eye, they'd not order any refund to the away team fans' expenses for a wasted trip to a nothing match. B-stards.
