Yet they’ve made us really competitive despite spending no where near the amounts of PSG and City.

Think you’ll find most clubs, bar the oil rich clubs, will be tight on the purse strings for a while after Covid. Quite right too. It wouldn’t sit right the club spending £50m, or whatever, a couple of months after asking the government for help to pay the wages.
As for past investment they’ve been shrewd not tight. They’ve got plenty in the bank after what they’ve done for the club so far and where they’ve got us.

Of course we desperately need him. He's a proven world class striker who will add even more goals and quality to the team.
We need cover for our front 3 and I am of the opinion that he is a better player than Firmino who for a supposeldy WC forward, his goalscoring record leaves a lot to be desired

I do agree he's a better CF but they're different players playing different roles. Klopp will have to alter if not change his tactics to make it work (that's not saying he can't as he has done so in the past, great managers adjust such as SAF and Pep have done as well). I think this one is purely down to money rather than not just wanting him. Plus I don't think it looks good on Liverpool to go out spend big money when only a few weeks ago they were going to furlough their staff.
Werners off the ball work and link up play is nothing to write home about.
I like him though obviously.

My worry is that he's going to turn out to be an absolute steal for Chelsea and will propel them right up the table again. You just know it would be our luck that we get Chelsea on the opening day at SB and he runs rings around VVD and scores a hatful!

How many goals do you want us to score?
We've had the leagues top scorer the past two seasons and have scored nearly 100 goals this season.
Of course they have the money. They are a consortium of Billionaires!
We are competitive at the moment, however the best clubs are always looking at how to improve. City, Chelsea and United have spent big or will do in the future to catch us up. We need to invest to ensure that 25pt+ stays as it is. We should be looking to diminate this League for years to come.

Yet they’ve made us really competitive despite spending no where near the amounts of PSG and City.

Think you’ll find most clubs, bar the oil rich clubs, will be tight on the purse strings for a while after Covid. Quite right too. It wouldn’t sit right the club spending £50m, or whatever, a couple of months after asking the government for help to pay the wages.
As for past investment they’ve been shrewd not tight. They’ve got plenty in the bank after what they’ve done for the club so far and where they’ve got us.

Of course we desperately need him. He's a proven world class striker who will add even more goals and quality to the team.
We need cover for our front 3 and I am of the opinion that he is a better player than Firmino who for a supposeldy WC forward, his goalscoring record leaves a lot to be desired

There are other footballers and it would be of no surprise that they turn out to be very good at football.
We've scouted Osimhen plenty apparently.
Calling out FSG about ambition, after the results we've had, signings and sales we've made, after the growth, stadium redevelopment, salary increase and temporary freezing of ticket prices, after a European Cup and incoming league title is always going to make someone sound like a complete idiot btw.

I do agree he's a better CF but they're different players playing different roles. Klopp will have to alter if not change his tactics to make it work (that's not saying he can't as he has done so in the past, great managers adjust such as SAF and Pep have done as well). I think this one is purely down to money rather than not just wanting him. Plus I don't think it looks good on Liverpool to go out spend big money when only a few weeks ago they were going to furlough their staff.

My worry is that he's going to turn out to be an absolute steal for Chelsea and will propel them right up the table again. You just know it would be our luck that we get Chelsea on the opening day at SB and he runs rings around VVD and scores a hatful!

I guess we will have to just agree to disagree. If they give Klopp much need funds to improve the squad: Back up LB, CB and RB, #10, and 2 forwards then I'll be happy. Ideally we need 22 top class personnel to be able to compete on all fronts.

Of course they have the money. They are a consortium of Billionaires!
We are competitive at the moment, however the best clubs are always looking at how to improve. City, Chelsea and United have spent big or will do in the future to catch us up. We need to invest to ensure that 25pt+ stays as it is. We should be looking to diminate this League for years to come.
