It’s a very long time since this country was close to anything approaching greatness.
I'm a white middle class 49 year old West Ham ST holder of 30 years.
And I can tell you the scratters in London yesterday were not defending me or my culture.
I'm 100% behind BLM.
I’m not happy the media are portraying them as right wing racists.
Some are just defending our statues and fed up with the police not acting.
Yes a lot were probably racists etc but not all, if the Government and police did their job then none of this would be happening.
The Governments lack of action etc is starting to cause issues.

This country has for centuries had a ruling class who would not even think twice about sending its lower classes off to fight wars and colonise countries all just ti gain more power and influence around the globe and then take all the credit.
And the lower classes seem to lap it all up and will happily accept being lied to under the proviso that they get to feel proud for being ‘British’ whatever that means.
Don’t get me wrong - I don’t hate British people. Pretty much every country has their same issues. A lower class taken advantage of by a higher power. It’s the myth of what ‘Britain’ is that is truly an insult. It’s just another country where the powers that be have taken from the have nots and brainwashed most of the have nots into thinking there is a higher purpose for all of this and nationalism is a worthy cause. It really isn’t. Love your neighbours, your friends, your family. Whatever colour or religion or nationality. Ultimately they’re the only ones who you’ll have any shared connections with in your life as opposed to a mythical idea of why your nationality should be a thing of pride.

Sorry but I don't believe you are right, the debate on statues is complicated, but the huge majority of those in London yesterday were simply white supremacy nut jobs or perhaps worse not even that politically motivated, but simply going hoping for a fight.

I agree.
As with last weekend some of the protestors had more honourable intentions than others.
The Bristol police should be getting far more criticism than they are for standing by and watching the vandalism. That decision has made some people of a certain mindset think they need to do their job for them.
