I know how it will pan out for Spurs.

After a poor end to this season, Jose will keep hold of his job by his fingernails. We will begin next season in dire form and Mourinho will get the boot after 10-12 games, resulting in another season to write off.

You think it can't get worse, just you wait.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That could happen. On the other hand the last 2 PL gigs Mourinho had his teams improved in the league in the second season. I think he used that horse analogy with Chelsea didn't he, to say they weren't quite ready in the first season? Same may apply to us. What we do with our defence is going to be key.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have absolutely no faith. Those last 8-10 games showed me that the players do not share his philosophy. With the exception of Lo Celso, the players just looked confused and lethargic.

I only hope that he goes before the likes of Kane and Son decide they want to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were missing our 2 best players under him to be fair. Take out those 2 and our team actually isn't that much, going on form.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we were missing Kane for last 9 games and Son for last 4. We were playing terrible football with these guys in the team as well.

Maybe i'm wrong and we will tear it up for the rest of the season now everyone is fit. What I do know is that Jose no longer has any excuses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least we were capable of winning games with them. Don't think we won any game without them did we? Clearly not as many anyway. Our defence has been our biggest undoing.

Time to draw a line on the season before Lockdown. Come on lads. Recharge your enthusiasm for the restart!

Kane, Son and Sissoko are back. Ndombele can beat Mo Farah now. Winks is gonna be better than Kante now and Sanchez will unleash the beast within him!

Lead by Champion Jose. Come on lads you love it!! LOL

Spurs are more "miss than hit'.... Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea & leicester all have better squads than spurs and have the financial muscle that we don't have to go improve, replace aging players, pay higher wages and build overall squad depth. Nothing will change at Spurs, we'll still be scrambling around hoping for top 4. When Kane leaves (which he eventually win in the next 12 months) it will all go to shlt anyway

Nope lost or drew. Just looking at the results just now took me back to how angry watching Spurs made me

Yes, the defence is a huge issue. But he has us set up to sit back and soak up pressure. Why do that when we have such an awful defence. We have players capable of retaining possession, passing, attacking. But we never see it under Jose.

Ha! Ok, Aurier has probably learnt how to defend as well I imagine.

Spurs 4 - 0 United

Spurs are in a total mess. They need at least 5 or 6 quality additions to be back up there, something that will never happen under levy. I expect spurs to be Europa league for a few years now.

If Chelsea get Werner, I fancy them for the title next season.

posted on 15/6/20

Was the talk the same at the end of last season too when we got 97 points? Or is it only when its us winning, City exempt ? You know when 3rd n fourth chelsea n spurs were 25 points+ behind. That lead extended and has shown no signs of slowing down.

posted on 15/6/20

But all of a sudden next season will be closer for no apparent reason

posted on 15/6/20

And the year before last didnt city win it with a huge gap from the pack too?

you think they can bridge what now sits at a 34 point gap

Also this losing 3 in last 5 is funny. 2 games over a two legged tie which we dominated a good atletico madrid side but ultimately they took their chances we didnt and deservedly won.

Try lost 2 in the last what is it67 now? In the competition you are talking about in this OP

Liverpool will win easily City are done and none of the rest of the league are good enough.

posted on 15/6/20

If Citys Euro ban is upheld, they will have a clear run at the title making them favourites for it and potentially another domestic treble.

posted on 15/6/20

Ultimately no idea, be an insane achievement if Liverpool can keep up their ppg averages, City dropped off and their squad depths much better. Utd and Chelsea look to be building something good under ogs n lamps imo and should only improve from here. Spurs and Arsenal can go either way, theyre not far off cementing themselves back into mid table mediocrity tbh they need investment for sure.

No way have Leicester got a better squad than Spurs, they are basically relying on a 32 year old striker to keep them up there. Spurs really should be finishing a long way in front of Leicester.

As I said you have peaked, and are now showing signs of coming pack to the pack next season. Being beaten 3-0 by Watford will not be a one off next season.

We’re still improving Sandy, I think the next couple of seasons will be the peak however it could go on longer depending on who we bring in and who goes.

posted on 15/6/20

most our players are entering peaks of their careers 27/28 should have a good 3/4 years left at top of their games.

next season will be the start of a string of the same top 4 every year. liverpool, city, man utd. and chelsea.
leicester, wolves, arsenal, sheffield, leeds and spurs will made up a pretty decent top ten.

Absolutely no guarantee of those four being the same top four every year. In fact they have never been all in the top four at the same time for probably a decade, if they ever have made up a top four. Spurs and Arsenal will both be up there challenging.
