BREAKING NEWS: Jadon Sancho to Man Utd is a done deal, a fee was agreed in the early hours of this morning with Dortmund in the region of £85 million with add ons potentially rising to £115 million. Personal terms already agreed. Sancho will be a red this summer
The Sancho thing was always gonna be between us and Chelsea and they’ve already spunked their load on other players. Sometimes like with Pogba, Bruno and now Sancho we are the only club with a real chance of buying a player. Nice to be minted.

It’s weird that people thought we’d stop spending big under Ole.

i believe it's all contactless these days
I want us to win the FA Cup this season, We've not won a trophy since 2017.
All big teams spend big when they can. At least we make our own money for spending!
We need to keep Cantwell quiet.
Jon Moss is the referee for tonight's game.

I would say with how it’s starting to come together team-wise. Hopefully we won’t have the revolving door that we’ve had since SAF.
Even if another manager comes in at the end of next season say, wholesale changes aren’t needed I don’t think.
Previously I was only ever excited about the immediate future, when we signed Zlatan, ADM, Falcao etc whereas now I’m genuinely excited about the next 3-5 years.
Targets aside, Ole really has done what he was expected to. Go back to a more united way of doing things, planning properly etc.

If it goes to penalties we lose. Hopefully we bury them before.

What about Man City ?
They'll probably need someone to replace Sane.
Had hoped Williams would have got a start tonight, do any of you know if he's been carrying and injury or having fitness issues?
Other than that looks decent, looking forward to seeing Mata and Bruno together

They never really spend the really big bucks. Just a model where they buy players for like £40-60 million and get Pep to do his thing.

We only made wholesale changes in Van Gaal’s first season, which was understandable given how many ageing players we had.
I’m not getting into an argument about what he was expected to do, as I don’t agree with you.
But the point was that people thought we’d change our transfer policy of spending big under Ole. That was never gonna happen.

i hear this from their fans, but i'd say they haven't spent that kind of money yet, but i doubt they have a moral objection to it. if you can spend £60m on a RB, it's an odd moral stance to refuse to spend £100m on a 20 year old forward.
i seem to have read that there was an issue between him and pep when he left, but no idea whether that is irreparable or not, whether either manager or player much cares.
