So you'd rather miss out on top 4 than have a team with nothing to play for and very little to gain have 1 more win? Seems reasonable.
They already won the league
What's trusting them got to do with anything, Matth?
Or do you mean that rather than not wanting them to will, you don't have any faith at all in them doing so?
I certainly want Liverpool to take points off Chelsea. I'm sure most United fans feel the same.

The same way they wanted us to beat City a few months back
Ye most proper fans are more bothered about their own teams success than other teams.
As a Liverpool fan I'd find it hilarious if you lot miss out on CL and am not that bothered about going for the record points. Still want to beat Chelsea.
I want them to win as it would give us better chance at finishing in the top 4. Maybe even as high as 3rd. Liverpool have won the league. They don't have much to play for other than trying to get a record points haul and you can wish them defeats in another game.
Now whether you believe they'll try to win or not is another thing. To their manager and Players, I doubt they care where we finish now.

Win, win for LFC really. If you win it's a possible record points total and, if you lose, a change to WUM.
Couldn't give a toss about what happened 10 years ago Matth, I want top 4 so if that means the red shiite beating Chelsea, then that's what needs to happen.

Yep. Let's hope they at least get a draw v Arsenal as they can then get to 100 points.

C'mon Matth. I could sort of understand it if Liverpool losing meant they blew the chance of the league (as we'd still have chances of top four v Leicester in that scenario). However, on this occasion I couldn't care less. I wanted LFC to beat Newcastle in that 4-3 years ago much the same as I wanted them to beat Chelsea in 2010. We must look after our own interests first.
Of course, if we have won our next two games and Leicester have failed to win then we can re-examine our view but as of now we need to take any advantage we can get.
