Couldn't care less if liverpool win 20-0 and get a special "best game ever" award.
Man UTD in the CL is far more important than some rivalry with a club who've already won the league.

So you'd rather miss out on top 4 than have a team with nothing to play for and very little to gain have 1 more win? Seems reasonable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I would, I never want Liverpool to win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Top fan you are fair play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grow up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean, please tell me you see the irony here?
Liverpool wins have done us a few favours over the years. I remember expecting them to roll over against Blackburn in 1995 but they played with pride and won the game, giving us a chance (which we spurned at West Ham) to claim the title on the last day of the season. I remember loving it when Leeds won at Highbury a few years later to confirm our title in a tight race.
At this point, we've been humbled enough that a bit more reflected Liverpudlian glory shouldn't hurt too much. But with the stakes as they are, it's madness to put tribal hatred above taking an important step back towards where we should be.
(Also, you ought to hate Abramovich's Chelsea too!)

Baring like 5 years in the 00s theres no actual rivalry between our clubs
And tbh we had more bad blood with Liverpool in that era
You'd forgo the Champions League just so Liverpool lose a meaningless game?
Wowzers.
OP
What insane logic is this?
You'd rather miss out on top 4 then have Liverpool win a meaningless game?
Get off the drugs
Look at it like this, Matthh
A liverpool win will leave a slightly bitter taste in their fans' mouthes, knowing they have helped us out.
Final league position is determined by the qualities in the squad, not on the outcome of a game between two other teams.
Regardless of the potential effect on the club I have emotionally invested in for most of my life, I would NEVER accept the notion of hoping Liverpool win.
If United finish 5th, it's because they started the season without a strong enough centre forward/striker, wingers or keeper. In actuality, 5th would be better than expected from such a, journeyman laden, squad
It's the fault of club direction and nowt else

You don't need to....reputation is everything
What’s that got to do with trusting them ?
It’s their last home game against Chelsea where they get to lift the trophy. They care about their image, fans, prestige and wining on the day they lift the trophy.
Are the above not a good motivation for them to turn up for this match ?
Do you really believe that they will throw away this game to spite their arch rivals.
Purely for selfish reason Man U, Leicester, Wolves, Sheffield U fans would want Pool to do their teams a favour.
Not sure why you’re upset that other Utd fans do not share your opinion on this ?
I know plenty of proper United fans that would agree with Matth to be fair. They're not gonna support Liverpool for any reason in any game.

Unfortunately this site has a percentage of morons across teams who would rather their rivals lose than their own team win.
Me personally I dont care about Uniteds results week in week out unless it was to have a direct impact on us at the say the late stage of a tittle race.
Its the same as you lads wanting Chelsea to drop points v Wolves as it is wanting them to drop points v us,
Nobody is 'supporting' Liverpool here. I am not going to attend the game (even if i could) wearing a red scarf and sing YNWA....I just want them to beat Chelsea for obvious reasons. just like I am nor supporting Chelsea, either. It's quite clear really.

Hoping United can get it sorted in the next 2 games and then we can all become Wolves fans for the last game!!!
