Your point is that you haven’t spent money. That is clearly boollocks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don’t invest as much as Chelsea , Utd the teams that we should be competing with. You’ve just stated this yourself. We are in danger of being left behind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
we invested a lot since 2013 but almost all our signing have been mistakes. Liverpool and Chelsea get 100m+ for Coutinho or Hazard to reinvest but we pay Ozil 350k a week to pay Fortnite. 70m on Pepe and Chelsea buy Pulisic or Liverpool get Salah/Mane. Giving Bellerin, Kola, Mustafi, Sokratis 100k a week to cost us goals on a weekly basis. It's all self inflicted

Yes, we’ve established that Arsenal cannot compete in the transfer market with United for players. Few clubs in world football can.
But that’s different to claiming you hardly spend. I can’t believe this needs explaining.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again I said we need significant investment from the owners to get back up there and compete. I haven’t said we haven’t spent!!. With us being in 10th and other teams significantly strengthening, will this force the kroenkes to give Arteta the funds to get us back up there given the rumours that we might not have much to spend. Is that to much to comprehend!. Jeez.

We have had the money, that is the point. We have outspent Liverpool only for them to go from 8th to runaway champions and us to go from 2nd to 10th

We don’t have the money needed to push us back up there in a short space of time. We haven’t got time on hands unfortunately. Another season of poor investment and Wel drop further, We can’t go all out and buy 4 or 5 worldclass players.
Depends what you mean by a "short space of time". If you mean next season, then no. If you are talking 3-5 years, then with the right transfers we could easily bridge gaps. As Liverpool did.
Why are you complaining about budget? That’s a bit simplistic given you’ve outspent most teams in recent years including Chelsea.
Your complaint should be directed towards how you’ve spent your money, not how much.

If we keep going on the way we are, in 3-5 Wel be in the championship. Even Arteta said the other night that we need to bridge the gap quickly because other teams will get stronger. The only way I see this is if our owners out there money in and clever investment where I do agree with you on.
Throwing money at it isn't the way imo, we need to focus on working smart and getting value for money first and have a longer term plan to fix the squad over two or three years. Why would stan invest his money anyway when he's seen the club waste hundreds of millions in the last few years with nothing to show for it, iIf I was Stan I'd be wondering how the **** we're not challenging for the title already.

Clearly you can’t read. I’ve said that given our position in the table and our rivals significantly strengthening, given the fact that we need to bridge the gap quickly or we will freefall. Will this give the owners a nudge to release the funds so we can try and close the gap.

No. There are enough funds to buy what we need if we are good in the transfer market (both buying and selling).
Bridging the gap quickly or going into free fall aren’t the only two scenarios for Arsenal in the coming years.

I agree with you to a certain extent. We need clever investment however I don’t think we have 3-5 yrs to get it right given the quality of the league. We need to quickly try and bridge the gap. That’s our managers words not mine. He obviously wants to know if his boss wants to support him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No but the latter is the most probable given our decline and the league getting stronger.
Is the league getting stronger? United are about to finish 3rd with the same amount of points they had for 6th last season. And after spending massively.
Finishing 40 pts behind Liverpool. 10 pts off Chelsea and Utd. Leicester, Sheffield, Wolves who we finished above last season. Stronger in terms of the smaller teams being harder to beat. We have declined badly which makes it worse.
And the fact that Chelsea have already strengthened for next season and Utd will aswell.

None of that is proof of a stronger league. More that we have had a bad season. If we had matched last seasons point total we would have been comfortably 3rd, yet last season we were pretty average.Shows me that the league is weaker this season, and getting the right signings would put us in with a good chance of top 4.

How far up remains to be seen, but Arsenal aren’t just going to go into free fall and end up near the bottom of the table. They’ve too much money and talent in the team for that to happen.

I don’t disagree that we’ve been bad, we’ve been awful. Now that Wolves and Leicester have made Europe they will have money to buy better players. Havertz and Werner , ziech. Come on they’re have already significantly strengthened. The league will be a lot harder for us next season unless we invest significantly. Anyways I’ve made my point, we will go nowhere without significant investment and we need to close the gap quickly , I’m glad our manger has come out and recognised this.

You say that but with all that fire power we didn’t have a shot on target against the 2nd worse defence in the league the other night. Nothing is sure. With this squad we could easily free fall. 10th place is unacceptable. Maybe some of the fans on here haven’t seen the success I have seen. I still have that big club mentality which is why I’m extra critical, I saw what we were and what we are now. I don’t have a small club mentality like others.
