"Keep as much cash in the bank as possible."

One of the ways the share price stays high even though the team has been pitiful for years. Team's cash is actually in the bank or squirreled away in investments, NOT all in the team on the feckin pitch.

Only the Manchester clubs have a higher net spend than us in the past decade

But yea...we don’t spend money

The amount of money spent since 2013 to get this squad is laughable.
The fact that is combined with a lack of player development and awful transfer negotiation in terms of sales, it is weird that this is used to criticise Kroenke when there are far more sticks to beat him with.

I give up. If what you were saying was correct then we wouldn't have spent the last 10 years constantly getting outbid by other teams for all the prime players. Citing a long extended payment deal for Pepe and Ozil at 45 mil, as examples of our big budget transfer spending, is a joke.

There's a reason we don't buy the most expensive players and it's not the incompetence of the negotiating team. Actually astounding that you think it's more likely that an entire team of professionals is incompetent. Than one man keeps saying "No you can't have THAT much to spend on one player."

Yes there's other sticks to beat him with but since I'm always seeing a Sheikh or an Oligarch making him look the I'll go/stick with this one. You can tell me he's willing to spend, the day we truly COUGH UP for a player, it "Top club" style. Until then, he's just as big a deadweight to this club as Ozil.

"I don't want to talk about next season, I got a cup to win."

I want him to stay No.1 even more now. I always like a bit of swagger in a goalie anyway but his sort of confidence is both assuring and contageous to other players. It's both personality and experience/hard work driven. Talks the talk and walks the walk.

He might even step up another level if left in the No.1 spot. I certainly wouldn't wanna be Leno right now, there's a genuine chance he could have to wait quite some time to get that top spot back

Why is every comment an essay? Is it because you are trying to hide your ignorance in with a lot of pointless waffle in the hope no-one can be bothered to read it?

Cos it works

Nah, just repeating the point about never being able to outbid any top side for a top player. Ya know, in the hope you'll actually address it instead of trying to distract with insults to hide the fact ya full of it. Living in some fantasy land where ke is a big transfer spender

Save your applause for ke. Because he deserves it having for you convinced that our BS transfer conduct has absolutely nothing to do with him. WAKE UP you MUG!

Last 5 years net spend:
Arsenal £250m - Liverpool £92m

Position 5 seasons ago
Arsenal 2nd - Liverpool 8th

Position now
Arsenal 8th - Liverpool champions by 20 odd points.

All Kroenkes fault for not allowing us to spend.

As someone has already pointed out. Your numbers fail to account for the hundreds of millions spent by the other top club whilst we spent nothing. We're playing spending catchup DJ.

The -500 billion starting point we had vs the other top teams DID have an impact ya know.

Not sure what spending to get Liverpool 8th is really in favour of your argument. They had to do an almost complete rebuild. And our net spend is 4th since 2003 - again also ahead of the champions.

Jordan Henderson is the only player still at Liverpool from the start of the period I am talking about. They finished that season 8th, and completely rebuilt their squad - with a lower net spend than Arsenal.
Arsenal went from 2nd to 8th in that time, Liverpool went from 8th to runaway champions.

That is not on owner input, that is from good signings, good sellings and good player development. That is not on Kroenke.

Fack the last 5 years, imagine in the 03/04 season being told that over the next 16 years we will have a greater net spend than Liverpool, but will finish over 40 points behind them in the table
Then imagine blaming that on the club not spending.

it's madness, we're one of the biggest spending clubs in the world, probably top 6 or 7. if anything our problem is being too wasteful with money and not having anything to show for it, the likes of Wolves and Leicester arguably have better XI's than us.

FGS will you two shut up about our distracting netspend figure. It DOESN'T mean we spend just as much money on players as the other top teams. It just reflects how much money we DON'T MAKE on player resale.

Can't believe you can't see the link between being prepared to pay that premium transfer fee and having players still worth alot of money to sell. And how that relates to the Arsenal net spend.
