If we release Ozil, Mkhitaryan and Sokratis then we will have spent our transfer budget plus any money made on transfers just getting rid of 4 players.
No-one is buying Chambers (injured), Kolasinac (wages), or Mustafi (injured, wages) either.
So we are in a bit of a hole.
So realistically
Keep
Leno, Emi
Cedric, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Saliba, Tierney, Mari, Luiz, Chambers
Bellerin or AMN
Xhaka
Saka, Willock, ESR, Nelson, Ozil, Pepe
Auba, Eddie, Martinelli
Sell (if we can but some will only be loans)
Macey, Holding, Bellerin or AMN, Elneny, Torreira, Guendouzi, Mkhitaryan, Lacazette.
Hopefully I am proved wrong and Kolasinac, Ozil, Mustafi, Sokratis and Mkhitaryan will be sold.
Pretty much agree with everything apart from:
Cedric (S) - flip him on his 4 year contract - KERCHING!!!
I'd keep one of Holding or Chambers.
Gwendouzi - happy to sell him
Mkhitaryan has been released already, no?
No, Mickey is on loan for another year.
Haha, really?
SO we're no doubt subsidising his wages again?
It shouldn’t have to come out of our transfer budget though. We have already budgeted to pay these guys their respective wages from when they signed the contract. If Ozil is on 350k/week, then rather than pay him 15.75m over the next 45 weeks, surely he would agree to something like a 12-14m pay off with the opportunity to then go and actually earn some money on top of that in Turkey, America or China.
Very much doubt Ozil will be going to China
Does the OP realise that releasing a player means you have to pay-ff their contract? So how would you save on wages?
They probably have rather nice loyalty bonuses that will have to be paid up as well, adding another few million.

usually, they settle for lower than the full amount (if they are not rebelling like Bale). But agree we will have to find that money somewhere and will affect our transfer budget
with someone like Ozil, we are flucked. He will want full wages paid and all bonuses as he is quite happy to stay on the bench for 2 years.

The thing is, though, none of those we want rid of look like they will.
Ozil said he will stay despite being pushed aside.
Sokratis said he will stay despite Arteta rarely using him.
Mustafi will see out his contract, Kola too.

And his contract expires after the loan. So off the books.
If we sell Laca and loan Eddie we are short upfront. Martinelli is injured until the end of December.
So to sell Laca is just silly.

Why would they do that unless they have a nice juicy contract lined up. And in that case wouldn't it be better to loan with us paying part percentage of the wages. Better for the balance sheet and saves us money.
