His sister was stabbed?
Is she OK, is she in hospital?
Why wasnt this reported?

The Greeks are very protective of their womenfolk.

Smart move by Harry's defence to say his sister was attacked.

To be honest the actual reporting on this has been abysmal.

There is no way (if English people are involved) that this hasn’t been recorded on someone’s phone.

I was thinking there would be a plethora of vids on social media, but not so much it seems.

more mobile phones on the planet than there are people, a footballer can't even swallow bird sh!t without someone filming it, yet i've seen nothing especially conclusive in this case.

From what I've been told ,by Greek friends,he could well get a custodial sentence. The people and the police are not enamoured at all, with the behaviour of so called celebrities and their followers on.

Man U will have to start looking for a replacement pretty soon, unless of course the right hands are greased (no pun) !

It’s perfectly plausible that he may have done nothing wrong whatsoever.

I’ve seen the police in this area take action first and ask questions later, so wouldn’t be surprising to hear that he was pretty much innocent.

But even if that is true, it doesn’t excuse him putting himself in this position.

Didn’t he have a baby in May?

He’s on huge money, he’s club captain of Manchester United and he has two weeks as a summer break.

He absolutely should be able to resist the temptation to go to a bar with a group of blokes.

Regardless of what happened, he’s been utterly stupid.

Tbf they haven't said which of the three men attempted to bribe the officer. Based on his earnings and the publicity that would come from this incident, it's a reasonable assumption that it was Maguire. But we just don't know at this stage

I have no idea why elite sports professionals are spending time in bars in holiday destinations before their retirements.

This particular one is paid several millions of pounds a year to lead the players representing of one of the worlds largest sporting brands. He shouldn’t ever be anywhere near a bar, IMO.

i thought the press reports were that it was not maguire who had waved the cash. he doesn't appear to have been charged with bribery.

i'm with winston, it's all very well saying that it's great that harry is down to earth, and not all footballers are out of touch etc, but if i was on £190k a week, or £10m a year - £10m! - i wouldn't be hanging around bars like this and running the risk of being abused by gobby opposition fans. i'd be hiring a private island for 2 weeks, or spending my time in swanky places far from the plebs.

Certainly bars where you are likely to come across drunk English tourists.

So you have no idea then. Just out of interest how do you know how big Graham Norton’s sphincter is?

Any reports I've seen didn't specify whether it was or wasn't. But it certainly hasn't been confirmed that he was the guilty party

Eric wasn’t paid like Maguire is, times have changed and expectations are (rightly) different.

These guys are paid more than the CEOs of most FTSE100 companies, ffs.

.....

The fact that you think footballers being paid high wages is new.

Cantona was on of our top earners the same as Maguire is.

And earnings are totally irrelevant as to going out for a beer.

Are you some kind of Puritan.
