It's the same squad apart from all the changes tbf.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll give you a chance to be sensible and not antagonistic towards me.
18/19 squad = 3rd place squad
- Hazard
- Luiz
- Higuain (doesn't matter)
- Cahill (doesn't matter)
+ Pulisic
+ Zouma
+ other Loan players
= midtable squad?
Does this make sense?

Where's the loss in quality in losing Pigstain, Luiz and Cahill? Or is losing Hazard immediately take a team from 3rd to midtable?
Btw Pulisic was never a Hazard replacement. He was brought into replace Pedro. Pedro who hardly featured last season.
Chelsea had a striker who could actually score goals this season unlike last

Where would you put Luiz in that?
-------------------
We replaced Luiz with Zouma, equal exchange.
Or Cahill for that matter even though he didn't feature much the previous season but still would have been a huge influence given his experience.

This is desperate.

You should use the date instead of saying 'last season', because that's ambiguous since the Champions league final was played like two days ago. It doesn't make him a mug, you should have been clearer.

OK so Luiz is better than Zouma? And you really think losing Cahill was a big loss?
I just can't agree with either of those things. I'm shocked that you're trying to make out that losing a past it Cahill that had more than lost his place in the team is a significant loss that's worth mentioning.
There is an argument to be made here for sure, but people really shouldn't reference players like Mount, Abraham, Tomori, James & Zouma coming back coming back to make it - only strengthens the opposite view.
If United as an example (finished 3rd this year), "strengthened" their squad by selling one of Martial or Rashford, and brought in Bailey (lets say) as their replacement & the other deals were for Ben White, Chris Smalling returning, Matty Cash, Matheus Pereira & Ollie Watkins - anyone who suggests they've not downgraded would be bat sh!t insane
If people are gunna debate this at least be sensible for god sake.

Wish Chelsea held on to Luiz for another year. The quality of players is what makes a team better than others. The incoming players weren’t of the same quality of outgoing players. It’s that simple for you to understand.
