If it was then wtf are Ed and Judge doing
Ed Woodward
Really is a useless cant
Isn't he
It only means that we are run by clowns who don't know how to negotiate or when to negotiate. According to Sir Alex's book, David Gill got the deal for both Nani and Anderson done in one day. Now, we wait for the transfer window to "monitor", "think seriously", "approach", "bid", "get the bid rejected", "improve the bid"..... In the meantime, our image and prestige in the world is being damaged.
I don't think any of it was bulls***.
We have unfortunately developed a reputation post Sir-Alex, that we are willing to spend stupid amounts of money on footballers, so the fee seems to increase an extra 10% when we are involved.
On top of that, we have someone like Woodward and his team, who seem to be atrocious at doing business quietly and effectively. We are not a club that players instantly gravitate to, as they do with Barcelona / Real Madrid.
I would love Sancho in our team, however if we do not sign him because we rule the price is ridiculous, I'm happy. We need clubs and agents to realise that we're not throwing money around, or are a cash-cow waiting to be milked.

Why?
Because he doesn't want to spend £108m? When we've had big losses from Covid?
Think we'd sign him if he was £80-90m but Dortmund won't deal at that price.
In the current climate I won't hold it against the club.

If we sign a good player at a decent price, instead of Sancho, we will send a message to the other clubs. But if we bring the likes of Dan James, we will just confirm our incompetence.

SAF had control over the club in a way that he earned over decades.
Nowadays it doesn't work like that.
Maybe stop reading gossip papers or believing ITK's. They've shown multiple times they are not reliable.
Ed Woodward is absolutely useless.

What's happened, has he signed a new deal with Dortmund or something?

think we've shown with AWB and Bruno that we are going the right direction.
Both selling clubs wanted more than they got.
In palace's case they even wanted the Zaha clause waved. Cheeky gits

You think maguire is crap. Your opinion on football related matters are pretty pants bro.
All of the Ed blaming here, is there even a slight possibility that Sancho didn't actually want to sign for united? He's at a pretty decent side right now.

I think the main issue then is why we haven't improved the squad at all yet. It looks like it's going to go right to the wire for any signings. Though my belief is that United still very much do want Sancho, and that wouldn't be the case if the player wasn't willing to come

It's a possibility. But if he wasn't interested in the move I think he'd have made a statement about being happy where he is for now.
Yeah fair points, he's been silent throughout, I guess he knows he's so young that the chance will be there again if nothing happens this summer.
It's a pain in the hole when transfers are dragged out with daily updates that are the same thing reworded.
I'm worried about Matths........
..........light socket.
He's taking this transfer very personally poor Matth
