Completely agree. Really odd and even selfish decision from UEFA.
Ugh gave a DJ article 5 . I feel dirty.
It is a complete farce, have to agree with that.
"I don't hate international breaks as much as many, and actually enjoyed the inaugral Nations League."

Totally agree. Would have preferred they kept the three teams to a group format but the NL is a good idea.
I have to say the thought about the ACON fixutres and this uefa rubbish being ran at same time makes good sense.
the issue however is that the timing is for a full season 20/21 not for january 2022 which is miles off.
but the reality is that the nations league is the pits and utterly pointless. I wuld have said delete this as nobody is really interested in watching these games and they are not REALLY qualifiers for anything.
Agreed.
Surely a financial decision over any sort of logic or common sense.

Speak for yourself. It was far preferable watching England v Spain / Croatia in a competitive setting than some pointless mind-numbing friendlies against lesser teams.
Yeah it really is a ridiculous decision given what is going on right now and the short turnaround between seasons.

Yeah, not many stand-out fixtures this week. Germany v Spain and Netherlands v Italy only really.
I've lost interest in international football to be honest. There are far too many meaningless games to keep me interested. I'll watch the Euro and the WC though, but couldn't really care any less about Nations' League and WC quals.
The sooner they get rid of international football the better. Most of the real club fans don't give a fack with the exception of the nationalist flag wavers in different countries.
Most of the games are against farmers and builders.

Sorry, but this is bull.
Not sure how you're defining 'real fans' but in my experience, fans who actually go to games are very passionate about International football.

haha - although being surrounded by Dutch would surely encourage you to see the passion and support for International football?
Watched a Dutch game in a Dutch bar once - one of the best non stadium experiences of my life.
International football overall is my fave outside of watching Wolves. Euros, world cup dish up by far the best memories.

It's even a nightmare to bet on. You just don't know for sure which countries will even take it seriously.
I'm surprised the FA haven't dragged Beckham out of retirement to try and boost the viewing figures.

That’s the thing, international football has mostly been supported by smaller & lower league clubs!
International football is a lower standard than the prem and is very much something that's supported by certain folk. yes lower league fans and the barmy army types every few years but most fans of prem clubs don't give a hoot about it as it gets in the way of their TV armchair watching.
lfc fans have special reason to not back England that much but our players have given far more service than some clubs in terms of turning up
