Getting €160 million for Hazard as well when he only had one year left on his contract lol
And having it spread over multiple years so we have spare money every year
Considering they wanted 100m euros, if we really have him for £70m, we've done well. I think the fees we've paid for Werner and Ziyech are pretty good too.

I'd take this with a pinch of salt, but the reality is that Lampard is a big draw for many players. He knows he'll first choice at Chelsea and decided to make a name for himself.

I read something about this a couple of weeks ago. As for your point about Lampard, I was surprised to find Lampard is mocked by many fans when I visited London. He is extremely highly regarded in most footballing countries.
Literally signed everybody I was hoping for. Exciting times and Marina deserves a massive pat on the back.
being reported as 89 million all over the press
Have you got a new keeper yet?
I assume this genius negotiator woman had nothing to do with the acquisition of Kepa for £72,000,000. 🤔

It's probably her worst deal. But I think Kepa is just the wrong type of keeper for Chelsea. He never looked great under Sarri, but he was better but Lampard's system leaves a big hole in the middle of the defence.

Embarrassing for them getting it wrong tbh
She must have been on holiday when Chelsea gave Leicester City £35,000,000, and Danny Drinkwater a 5 year contract. 😏
The bakayoko and drink water years were learning curves for Marina been ruthless since
And to be fair Kepa at the time was one of the best keepers in la liga and his age he could of given us 10-20 years so 80 million or whatever it was, was a bargain on paper just didn’t work out sadly
This jlou gimp acting like his club didn’t sign the likes of Karius, Mignolet, Downing, Adam, Carroll, Moreno, Minamino, Keita, Benteke etc etc.

'Build a statue to Marina'😂
We know who the proper gimps are. 😂
Since 2018:
Kepa, Jorginho, Pulisic, Kovacic, Ziyech, Werner, Thiago Silva, Chilwell, Havertz.
One bad move (caused by that big nosed c’nt Courtois) in two years now. Best in the business
Tbf it's hard to say whether Liverpool have good negotiators or not, haven't bought anyone relevant in two years
Tbf to levy he doesn’t have our resources. We’ve made millions from player sales and repeated success and cl qualification. Spurs have not had that. But she seems to be a mastermind that’s for sure

It's good that she's getting her props now, she was scapegoated in 17/18 FAR too easily by some.
In the Emenalo days we found a gem or too, no question, but we'd have probably spent 90mil on Havertz up front, sold Hazard for less than 100mil, cut our losses on Morata in half, bought Sarri & Jorginho in separately, etc...
We're not a pushover anymore
I think the bad signings are down to your scouts. The fees are down to her.
Drinkwater had a good partnership in a Championship winning side so 35 million looks awful in hindsight but was probably seen as a fair deal then.
Likewise, Bakayoko was extremely sought after having had a couple of fabulous years in France. Deschamps was a huge admirer. I still think he's a good player but for a Mourinho-esque team. He's not technical enough for Sarri or Lampard teams.
Kepa. I saw a lot of Kepa for Athletic Club and he was excellent, very highly rated. I'm sure Chelsea thought they were spending 85m€ on a young keeper who was sure to improve. He's had a difficult time at Chelsea but that could be the physicality of the Premier League.

Can't argue too much with that but it's a bit frustrating in the case of Drinkwater and Kepa as we will have to accept a huge hit on them. Bakayoko I still hope we can get £25 million plus for and recover the bulk of our outlay. At least we are getting loan fees and his wages paid by loan clubs.
