They should start a trans league so we can all forget about it (other than the BBC giving us reports each and every morning).

Logically this is the most sensible option but practically it wouldn't work because
1) it will become a target of hate by some idiots
2) not sure it will get as much revenue
3) most TW simply want to be identified as women

There's also not enough of participants.
We will see a whole load of biological rules coming forward for most competitive sports that make clear the biological position before allowing people to compete. Its already happening in athletics where men are superior in every single discipline so is very susceptible to the womens sports being targeted by 'X-men'

I was more hoping for an over-confident breasted Fury being caught off guard and knocked out.
We'll need a solid defence at the rear, and for that I nominate Hans-Jorg Butt.
I’m not sure biologically male athletes should be permitted to compete in female events, particularly individual events.
I mean if any of the top 50 (probably top hundred) male tennis players transitioned or merely identified as female, they would win all the women’s grand slam events. The disparity would be ridiculous.
I'd be really interested to hear what the womens football associations of US and Canada (assume they have them) make of the announcement. It's the players she plays against that are the ones effected both in terms of the physical battles on the pitch and, potentially, opportunity lost.
From what I've seen and read womens football is generally very inclusive so if the players are fine with it then it's all good imo.
I appreciate this is a discussion thread and for opinion but reading what I assume are mainly male posters opining about what is best for women does feel a bit 1950's to me.

I don't disagree, but in reality this doesn't happen does it.
As someone said earlier, it's unlikely to be a major issue in sport any time soon and we should be sensitive to the feelings of those affected.
But there does need to be a ruling and ultimately I would agree that it just presents too much of an unfair advantage, though accepting that is harsh on the person involved.

Maybe it'd be better for all if the people that change over play the sports they want to with their original sexes!..
That way people cant ague about unfair advantages!..
Sorry, that'd be wrong as well, because the hormones women take when changing over would make them to strong for the women's sports as well!..
Oh well, I'm for thinking if it was meant to be that way we'd all be born with both and told to take a choice!..
