I hope they show more of the original games they have lined up rather than just the likes of Cod and Assassins Creed etc...
I want to see more of that game where you control a cat!

Just tell me Demon's Souls Remake and Spider-Man: Miles Morales are available on launch and take my money
I wish I had put down my guess at the PS5 prices. I was right, but you will just have to take my word for it.
It was a decent enough showing, One that caught my eye was Demon Soul's. Not only a huge upgrade graphically, but I also noticed the lack of load screens and how seamless and smooth it made the game play look.
So PS5 is out November 19th UK,
Disk version £449. Digital version £359.
also a great PS+ package of classic PS4 games. Admittedly most have already been on PS+, but for those that missed them or people new to Playstation, It is a great way to get started.
Next gen is right around the corner.
Will probably wait 6 months before grabbing it.
The PS5 PS+ package

Actually watching through it again there are quite a number of new titles.
Pretty decent deal.

Am I the only one that thinks that’s a pretty reasonable price for a PS5?
Constantinople, I think for the upgrade the PS5 offers, it is going to sell big time.
For the price I don't think anyone can be disapointed.
Well up to the start of this year most people felt it was going to be more expensive - for the next gen gamer the digital only is a sweet price!
I haven't used the disk drive in my ps4 for ... I don't know how long...
360 seems decent to me...
Does anyone use disk these days?
Gotta admit I thought it would be way more expensive.
My only issue seems to be the relatively low storage space of 825GB especially if I get the digital version. Would have hoped for more although I guess I can buy an external hard drive

It's probably why it's cheap.
SSD's are expensive. E.g. if you were to buy a decent branded 2tb ssd nvme it'll cost you over 200 pounds.
I prefer having the option to add extra storage if needed rather than being forced to pay for it making the ps5 crazy expensive

You also have to think about what the SSD itself brings to the table, and how it changes game storage. installing games on a hard drive could be a lengthy affair, the SSD however changes all that, and installs should be a lot quicker.
Of course as you said you will be able to buy extra storage, but it will not come cheap, as only the fastest drives will be compatible.
I've read that hdd in the ps4 had a lot of duplicate data on due to the way the games were made for the ps4, making some games huge in size.
Apparently the ps5 eradicates this duplicate data entirely.
E.g
A 100gb game on the ps4 HDD could be 80gb on the ps5 SSD.

It is true that duplicate data was a trick used to speed up game loading, but as you said also used up valuable hard drive space.
The SSD read speed is instantaneous, so the need to duplicate objects to reduce seek times is no longer necessary.
Sadly with higher resolutions and larger textures, game sizes are only going to increase, So most games will almost certainly be bigger than PS4 games, even without the need for duplication.
Will probably go for the disc drive version, I do download a fair amount of my games (and don't watch any blu-rays etc) but there's always the odd chance I'll pick up a cheap pre owned game or use one a mate has bought I've not played yet.
Is the download only console a lower spec, like the Xbox disc-less version?
Mike, the digital version is exactly the same as the disc version. The only difference is the lack of disc drive.
Still not sure whether to go for the disc or digital one
I'm going digital.
I'm trying to think back to the last time I used disc....
Probably no man's sky like 4 years ago.
