Admin, please call the loony center, I think GB forgot to take his meds again this morning?

Getting excited on Jota

He is ok, but looked good in the system Wolves played. Let's see how well he'll do.

He ain't Adama Traore who is the one you were signing praises of and writing articles welcoming him to Anfield, GB, so don't pretend you're happy!

PS, make sue you buy more players because you've only beaten a newly promoted side after 2 pens and after conceding 3 goals at home. Not a good record for "champions" elect

Winning games is not a good record for champions elect? Are you sure about that?

Love a double reply post 2 minutes apart. Seething

He's kind of right about Jota though. He's a "let's see" signing.

So.... why exactly didn't you buy Werner then?

...hilarious comments, ouchio I can feel your pain!!

Do you actually believe what you write GB?

Devil...actually a good question! If I had to guess I would maybe say Werner wants to start every game if possible, and liverpool couldn't give him that...my best guess.

Well Klopp actually contacted Werner and told him we won't be in for him. It was allegedly financial reasons but we've found the money for these two so who knows why we decided against him really.

Mosf fans, well I suppose I mean me really, don't give a toss who another team signs, we are only bothered who we sign. When kick off comes I never remember who signed who.

Seems a bit silly to me if the reason was financial when you're throwing 45mil at Jota. He's a good player (backup option) but Werner is a level above. Must've been about gametime.

Oh well, I ain't complaining

These Boom articles coming in at a rate of knots.
Liverpool need to make those signings.
Believe, for all the confidence you have, that target on yer back is a heavy burden to carry.
We’ll see if LFC have the Hutzpah, the testicular fortitude for the hell that is coming their way.....

Jota and werner are different players. Chelsea needed an out and out striker but Liverpool do not play with one.

Werner may be a better striker than Jota but Werner isn't better than any of Liverpool front 3. He also isn't similar to any of them really. Jota seems a strange one to me but I think he's better placed to cover 3-4 dif positions.

Werner isnt as effective when he isn't playing as a striker. I totally get why Klopp rated him but I don't see how he would fit into the way Liverpool play.

Only £4m so far! We have signed Jota and Thiago and sold Hoever, and with the initial payments we have broke even.

No he would've suited Liverpool. He's an out & out striker of sorts but one who specifically likes exploring the left side channel, and because Liverpool play Mane/Salah so narrow that's where he'd of lived playing LW. Would've been a left side version of Salah basically.

Jota will be happier playing as a backup I'm sure, but Werner is better, simple facts. It must've been a gametime thing which is fair enough, Mane would've continued being first choice. Their loss is Chelsea's gain

Jota fits Wolves better than Traore would. Thiago is world class but silly to compare him to Fernandes.

Werner is better?

You comparing apples and Pears. Werner is an out and out No9 and Jota is a wide player come striker.

Looking at the way jota moves I'd say he's more skillful but putting the ball in the net then Werner scores more.

posted on 19/9/20

so is your point (I didn't see one) that your finally put a grand on liverpool for the title?

posted on 19/9/20

Unless they make some good signings I do think City are unlikely to improve on last season and realistically they are the only team in a position to finish ahead of Liverpool this season..

The Tiago signing is significant for Liverpool, much less so the Jota signings, as Origi did ok when he played

You'd have used them the same way, i.e. Werner would've been a better option (what I meant to say).

Werner is an out & out striker but relevantly untested as a lone striker, he wouldn't have been playing Firmino's or any other CF role at Liverpool unless you changed the system.
