When do we play pool in the next round?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Next week.

Both the Cup and league games will be at Anfield.

We actually played some decent footie today, particularly the academy lads

Triangle build up from the back is good to see too

Pretty good performance overall, Leicester only had 1 good chance, and we created couple good opportunities to score more. Had feel of both teams going through the motions a bit though. Hopefully we just play second string for rest of the competition though, it’d be nice to win just because we’ve not won it for ages, but don’t want any important players risked in these games

The casual attitude has crept back into AMN’ s play. Must cut it out if he want to reach his ceiling.

I'm glad Eddie scored at the end, but he needs to learn to time his runs better and get into the box more. So many occasions when we were attacking and players were looking for him in the box, but he wasn't there or he wandered out wide.

Can't fault his stamina and pressing, though. It's always top notch.

AMN played poor but yeah setbacks and poor performances are necessary to improve. I would play him against Liverpool.

Or once at Anfield and once at Sincil Bank in a week.

Nketiah did really well to climb over the fallen defender and very quickly sneak a finish in, he has excellent reflexes.

Disagree. Our passing and crossing were poor. Not something a CF is able to shine.

What lol. He had one bad game. Can happen to anyone. His best performances have been at LWB when he can tuck into midfield too. RWB is a completely different role for him.

I'm talking about when we were transitioning or counter-attacking, GT. He wasn't always in the box. Not always his fault, as sometimes he dropped really deep to link play or win the ball back, but I think sometimes his starting position needs to be a bit higher.

AMN did well at RWB and RB before lockdown too

He's a young player, and certainly given bellerin a good kick up the backside it seems

Maybe that's the kick up the backside the club needs with only one week of the transfer window left.

Also, I thought Pepe was very average again. Even for the goal - hitting the post from an acute angle and deflecting off of Fuchs was pure fortune. He should have squared it to Nketiah for a tap-in. Was the wrong decision that we luckily got away with.

In his defence, there were times when he tried to make runs in behind but AMN or whoever was taking too long to release the ball or didn't spot his run, but when he's got the ball at his feet, I just don't see him causing enough threat to defenders/on the opposition goal.

He can't have another season like last year.

Pepe can produce a moment of excitement at any minute.

But he can also be on the periphery of games and be wasteful in possession.

He had an average season overall last year, and he can be excused as it was his 1st season in the Prem, playing under 3 different managers.

But he has no excuses this time around. He needs to kick on.

Can live with Pepe giving ball away if he produces 3/4 moments of magic a game as you do need a risk taker in the team. But he’s only at 1 or 2 bits of great play at best at moment. He definitely needs to improve, really hope he does. But he does still have his uses at the moment despite that
