So one article is enough for an obsession now? This is the first time I have written anything about Lennon all season. It was only because someone accused us of being obsessed with him that the thought came up.

Celtic fans genuinely believe we are obsessed with him.

Unfortunately this just isnt the case.

death threats, threats to his family, assaults, bullets, bombs all from Rangers fans- if Lennon was a Senegalese Muslim do you think this would have happened to him?

Totally agree,

I do not hate Lennon, i think you need to know a bit more about someone before you can say you hate him.

He has this side to him that only Celtic fans appreciate because he is, at the end of the day, one of them.

There have been plenty of players at Rangers that were despised by the Celtic support i.e. This is not because Celtic fans are all frothing bigots but more because he played up to the Rangers support and pretty much was a symbol of Rangers success.

This for me is a major factor, Lennon was a figure of Celtic success and always played to the crowd, a fan favourite. Any rival will tell you that the players they love to dislike are the rivals favourites, couple with this the fact that Lennon does actually have an unpleasant demeanour about him (this is not unpleasant to the point that he deserves any sort of friends, i wouldnt want any of my sons hangin about with someone like that, thats all) then you have a concoction that at least gets the normal fans mildly annoyed and at most, gets the complete idiots amongst the support commiting pretty reprehensible actions.

I dont like Lennon, as a human being i dont hate him, hell there arent many people i do, hes just a Celtic favourite and that alone, sticks in my throat.

He had the beating of Rangers in the Old Firm derbies.

I find it hard to believe you don't think that Lenny is a good manager.

I certainly dont think that makes him a great manager.

I think that makes the SPL a poor league.

there have been many down the years who have gotten right up the noses of the other side. the question that has to be asked is why did Lennon get bombs and bullets and all those others didn't? a bigot will say it is because he is worse than all those who went before him. a bigot will blame the victim and not the perpetrator. now the loonies who send bombs and bullets are in the minority, but those who defended them were a large majority last season, and that is something which i doubt Celtic supporters will forget in a hurry.
