Ole is a really average manager at best. I think any prem manager wouldn’t do any worse with your squad, if ole was at someone like Southampton he’d get them relegated. Crazy Man U are still sticking with him, surely could easily get a much better manager than him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are probably wrong. Third and the semis were better than an average manager would have got last year

The problem is we have an abundance of talent up front but they are bypassed.
Rashford goal was excellent but those goals are not bread and butter. We need strikers who score the one Maguire did week in week out.
I don't understand why we can't keep hold of the ball for long periods of time. Likes of Bruno, Pogba, rashford, martial should be running rings around players with keep ball
Our defenders get no respite.

It’s both.
This performance was better than last week but we won't progress much unless we start tightening up. Too loose in possession and shockingly poor at the back. The two full backs were poor going forward but were abysmal in defence.
3pts is all that matters at this stage so performances will follow but we got away with it today.

Player wise we are not worse than BHA. On paper we have more skill and talent. Where BHA outdid us was in style and a plan.
We have neither. We don't attack in numbers, our defence gets no respite. We don't keep the ball enough in forward positions

Just about summed up last season in one game really.
* Only a 50% of a defence in Shaw and Maguire - so an expected shambles.
* nowt but huffnpuff in front of the midfield
* Not the responsibility of midfielders to defend, other than by not losing the ball.
* come away with a spawny win
Still, lfc got away with last year so shouldn't grumble.
but things can be made to be so much more certain if the line up and bench features 11 mufc quality/level players instead of just Pogba, matic, maguire and fernandes, Fred, DvdB and some deadbeats.
Terrible shapeless performance - grateful for the win but it will mask many players ineptitude.

Agreed.
Start the season with 2 easy games and should have lost both heavily. Today was heaps of luck against a team that on paper ManU should absolutely smash. Couldn’t identify any evidence of training or Pre planning. What is this teams style and identity? Struture?
Not a great defensive display but fack me fans memories are unbelievable at times.
We have had no preseason.
The players had two weeks rest from last season.
They played one pre season friendly.
This is the third game including preseason that they will have played.
We finished third literally just a few weeks ago playing some cracking football.

Poch, Ancelotti etc would make this squad a solid 3rd before the season started and pushing the top 2. Ole will rely on moments of magic from a handful of players and challenge for top 6. I'm not ole out as such and have said we needed him to steady the ship. However I've never thought he would be the guy to lead us to the gold.
Seeing the team now, and yes we could do with a signing or two, but it's time to develop and identity
That was often the case under LVG and Mourinho as well. An unbalanced squad, with inconsistent players and management that isn’t the best (or suited to the squad in many cases) is going to lead to what we’ve seen since Fergie retired.
With regard to the squad it’s more than just depth. There are fundamental flaws with many of the players regularly starting for Manchester United.
