Stop trying to convince yourself that you’ll make top four this season

Don’t see why we can’t especially if we add this week. Easily been the 3rd best side in the league in 2020

Arsenal will finish above Chelsea. We have a better defence and more experienced strikers.

The more I see Arsenal the more I think this possible. Arteta has made you far more steely.
Both United and Chelsea are shiiit mate, it'll be 2/3 of tottenham, Arsenal and Everton finishing top 4.

The battle for fourth could be pretty close between us, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton.
The Chelsea 1 star brigade are out I see.

Fack my life.
There’s more knee-jerking going on today than at your average Madness gig.
slightly odd how quickly people have forgotten that a) we were very comfortably the 3rd best side over the second half of last season and b) we made up 14 points on leicester over the same period to conclude that we're "sh!t", no chance of top 4 etc etc.
we've had a very poor start to the season, and are lucky to have 3 points on the board, but anyone who thinks that the first 2 matches of the season are a perfect guide to the next 36 clearly hasn't watched very much football (same applies to chelsea, who are still missing 4 of their likely first xi).
The whole of today needs to be bookmarked

That may be. But I think given the schedule it’s gonna be another low points total needed to get top four again. I think these teams could all get around the 60 point mark, making it quite close in the battle for top four.
Injuries, any new signings and cup runs may tip the balance in favour of some teams, but it’s not the wildest predictions to think these clubs could be quite close to each other in the league this season.

over the final 14 games (when we started to get our best players back or in), then yes; for the 2nd half as a whole, we were 3rd, 5 and 6 points behind city and pool respectively, 3rd most potent attack (just 1 goal shy of pool), 2nd best defence (1 goal worse than city).
though even i'll admit that there were times today when that all seemed a hell of a long time ago.

I don't care about Chelsea. I'm slightly concerned about our defence.
2 games in and we've already conceded 5 goals.
We need to tighten up our defence to stand any chance of progression.

I agree but last season we had the 3rd best defence in the league conceded 3 more than Liverpool. Not time to panic just yet. However Chelsea were shipping goals last season too.
It's a good result, bad performance but signs are there. Liverpool were laughed at for a comeback draw against WBA years ago. Chelsea probably won't challenge this season but it takes time to get to the level City/Liverpool etc are at.
It took city and Liverpool a season or two of development and learning curves. Chelsea won't be any different in my opinion.
Bit too early to judge them, they’ve brought in a lot of players so may take a bit of time to gel. But think lampard needs to get them firing fast, with all the money they’ve spent I doubt Chelsea will have much patience with him this season. Think they’ll be expecting a strong league challenge
