Two aspects helping his game this season:
1) He looks secure in his role. He knows the players alongside him and how they play. There is a lot of intuitive understanding about what to expect and when to expect it. His ghost run between the Sheffield United defenders was a great example of this. He knew where Harrison was going to put the ball, and made this point in his interview after the game.
2) Our new players are starting to impact the game, slow it down, and give Bamford more time to think, and to position himself. Smart players always seem to benefit most from squad improvements. Our second half against the Blades was, I think, our most composed performance so far.
Bamford will have his misses this season, all strikers do, but I think the Premier League is a better arena for him to showcase his talents.

Absolutely impossible for Bamford not to be affected by the ironic cheers, and jeers he faced week in week out. If he read social media then his head will have been an absolute mess last season. Should this affect his performances - no if he is a robot. Hes a human being. Of course it affected him. Could see it in his body language. Snatching at chances, passing rather than shooting was all evident.
Not surprised hes playing well with no crowd.

I agree with the social media side of it, every player would be better off staying off twitter. But it was very rare he got jeered at ER, there was a time when he missed a lot of sitters and results dropped, but most the time the fans were behind him.
agree fans at ER were behind him, thought the fans were brilliant with him actually.. gave him much more room because you could see the work rate.. but there was an air of Bamford hating on social media.. you could physically see it him...
I'm so pleased for him getting 3 in 3 in the prem.. you look at him in the interveiw after the sheff utd game and you could almost feel the confdance oozing out of him, body language saying I'm going to score goals.. when he says things like 'I prob should of done better' referring to the fist header he had, you could just see he wasn't at all bothered by it because he scored the winner.
fair play the guy - wonderful all round player at the moment.
thiunk its going to inspire some of his team mates even more too.. Costa looks a very confidance player, picking the right passes as well as using his pace... Harrison and Bemford embracing at after the goal was wonderful to see...

That's all we need a striker inspired by an empty stadium...let's hope the pandemic continues well into next year and Bamford scores 20+ goals!
