Rumours of us wanting to buy Dembele from Barca for £60m also floating around

Dembele for all his talents is lazy as feck. Late for training, attitude problem, perfect fit for us!

Sky reporting we’ve had an 80 mill plus 20 mill add on bud rejected.

I just heard on Sky News that BVB have rejected an official £91M bid.
(I’m assuming that’s EUR80M plus EUR20M add ons.)

Only foreign bs merchant floating this at the moment.
Neither did their goalkeeper. Looks like we’re lining him up as well to replace Romero.
---------------------------------------------
That's just to throw us off the scent.
Waiting till the last 5/6 days of the window to launch a bid for a clubs top player. Shambles.

Considering all their main reporters are individually tweeting it there may be something in it. Never know with Sky these days though.
The information is coming from Sky Germany.
I actually think we may get him even at this late stage. We're desperate and I think we'll pay what Dortmund want.

Fixed
If money was already set aside for Sancho, is there any reason why we couldn't have put this bid in weeks ago?
What is the benefit to us bidding so late if we had the money and knew roughly what it would take to get him?
Why not bid early, so we get him or don't get him, then we can plan on ahead with him in the squad, or someone else instead?
Makes no sense to me.

Some facking good shiiit
If it's true and we have now actually made an offer we'll surely go back with another.
I think there could be room for manoeuvre if we up the base fee a bit more and Sancho starts putting some pressure on Dortmund to accept which was never going to happen without a serious offer.

So it could just be a case of putting financial rules and regs ahead of the playing side?
Such as us not being able to 'afford' him before the end of September, but comfortably afford him after that?
Because surely it can't be down to some sort of bargaining strategy on our part? Leaving it so late leaves us at a big disadvantage and liable to pay more?
So many questions, I seem to have come over all RDD.
Glad I got the words in that last sentence in the correct order...
