For all the criticism the defence gets, we don’t defend as a team well enough.
Our shape off the ball and pressing is so unorganised. We allow teams far too many opportunities to get into the position for the defenders to make mistakes/get punished.

The lesson that should be taken is being switched on in this game. We gifted them 2 goals really. Then how Lamela got away without a red card for a forearm smash on Martial face is hard to believe really. Martial touched Lamela and gets a red card but Lamela does the violent conduct and initiated the unprovoked attack on Lamela gets away with it. No way would this be 1-5 now if Lamela was sent off.
Would Cavani, Telles.or Sancho really want to come.play for us after this?
