----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's been plenty of games from Feb onwards that Liverpool have conceded multiple times in a game through poor defending. It's not a one off, it just gets glossed over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We hammered them 4-0 at the Etihad but that was put down to the title being already won.

Crazy that Watford got relegated with similar stats as Spurs and Arsenal last season. Just shows you how efficiency rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also crazy Man United got CL football by just scoring penalties.
sandy if you watched our games you would have seen Man Utd denied like 10 clear penalties last season. We must have set a record for clear penalties not given last season. It was funny the only penalty we got that we shouldn’t have was the one against Villa and in that same game Villa did 2 clear fouls in the box and got away with it to add to the 1 they got away with at OT. Even sky I believe did a video and the only penalty we shouldn’t have got was the one against Villa but if they did a video of the ones we didn’t get we would have had at least 10 more.
http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2020/07/14/gif-video-oriol-romeu-vs-greenwood-incident-romeu-stamps-greenwood-ankle-no-card-var/ VAR seems to ignore Greenwood against Southampton decisions. Southampton got away with 3 red cards in the games against Man Utd. Greenwood was cleaned out and lamped in the box after getting to ball first and ref never gave a penalty in away game in a game Southampton did 3 red card offences and only received 1 late on.
Noble does another one early on in away game we lose clear red bottled. Palace home game Cahill last man foul clear red card early in game no red given. Then same game Martial rugby fouled in the box and VaR excuse is they didn’t see it and were looking at something else lol.
If anything you should he worried sandy as the officiating in the league is embarrassing. VAR must have made over 100 wrong decisions already.
The reason United are schit has nothing to do with penalties or expected goals.
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-var-news-latest-16967805 Early on as well. I think last season we would have finished with at least 80 points if refs got all the decisions correct last season.

I guarantee you know the worst affected team by wrong decisions by VAR is Man Utd. If Mourinho was in charge of Man Utd he would have had bans after every few games after the decisions.
I’ve read the media thread on Bluemoon, and it’s so full of bias and a lack of objective thought. We see only what we want to see, hear only what we want to hear.
Any criticism towards the club you support is always noticed more than the criticism aimed towards other clubs, simply because you pay more attention to what is being said. And it digs in a bit more when criticism comes your way.
There is no agenda, there may be occasional bias from commentators or pundits, and there are many examples where pundits and journalists have crossed the line in their criticism. But generally they play up to perceptions, and the fact that City have spent a lot of money on defence and defence remains a problem for us is an angle for punditry and journalism to focus on.
You don’t hear about the money spent on City’s midfield or attack anywhere near as much, because not as much criticism can be aimed towards us in those departments.
The truth is the reporting on City is really no diffident, is no better or worse, then the reporting on other clubs. The only thing you could say is we don’t get as much airtime as the likes of United and Liverpool do, but that is down to clicks and interest. Not as many people click on the links for City as they do United and Liverpool, so more is written about them as a result.

Totally agree
https://metro.co.uk/2016/11/19/jose-mourinho-goes-ballistic-as-manchester-united-denied-penalty-vs-arsenal-aaron-ramsey-laughs-at-him-6268965/ He was used to teams rugby fouling our players and not getting penalties so how he comes out and says the stuff he does is absurd. He knows for sure the worst he was treated by refs was his time as manager at Man Utd. I remember SAF seasons we used to score 3 or 4 goals and win 1-0 due to many wrongly disallowed goals. 08-09 season we scored nearly 100 goals in the league but only 68 counted. So many wrongly disallowed goals. It was fitting we clinched the title with a 0-0 draw after a clear goal denied for offside when miles on that season.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2008/mar/10/newsstory.match
The crazy thing is Atkinson still gets to ref our games and still gives penalties against us for nothing like the Palace game.
I very rarely listen to the commentary so didn’t notice any of this - I’d love it if they had an option at the mo to just hear the sound within the stadium without commentary or the fake crowd noise, been one of the highlights hearing the managers reactions every now and again.
Aside from just not liking commentary in general though, I do get why a lot of fans wouldn’t be keen on Neville and Carragher commentating on United and Liverpool games.

Which doesn't make it untrue, only in your mind. Goals can be scored against a good defence, considering there is another team playing and you're more likely to score against a team who attack, with full backs getting forward, playing a high line etc. So it's about balance. We got the balance right, hence winning the league. We scored a load of goals but also conceded relatively few. I'm sure if Liverpool were less attacking, like say United, they'd concede much fewer goals but then we may score much fewer and the balance may not be right and we lose more games. Although this is something that certainly needs considered after last night.
