Best for all parties to terminate his contract
---------------------
Still can't believe we gave him a four year contract last year, with the option of another year. Still contracted until June 2023.

Just 20 PL appearances in the last 2 seasons.
Apparently he is on £75k a week. That is £15.6m over the course of his contract. No-one is ever going to risk paying him that much anywhere else with his injury record. Nor are we going to be able to sell him for a decent fee due to his injury record.

i think someone (still) needs to sit ed down and explain to him that the whole asset/liability thing he learned at accountancy school doesn't work in quite the same way for footballers on lengthy contracts as it does for land/factories/intellectual property.
Because some of the rumours I hear about our failed transfer dealings suggest that he still doesn't quite get it.

Many of Ed's failings stem from the fact he isn't a football man. SAF has often mentioned how important it was that Martin Edwards was a football man and cites it as a reason as why they worked so well.

Romero will be gone by the time the domestic window closes I reckon.

I hope so. He deserves to get regular games elsewhere.
Apparently United want a fee for him, though.
Which is annoying his wife.

Have tbh I think letting him go for a free would annoy me.
He is a good keeper and we should have been looking for a fee imo
