However, I saw a clip of his second yellow and it looked unfortunate to me. Seemed like he got the ball first. By all accounts he was crap though.
The reality we've been all avoiding is that he is not good enough. Signing him was a big mistake and giving him captaincy was a bigger one.

He's appeal so now he's innocent again until the verdict of his appeal.
Seriously though. I think he needs time out. He clearly isn't right in the head right now. Best for him and the team that he sees a therapist.

I agree, the fallout in Greece are partly his own doing if reports are to believed.
The transfer fee on his head is nothing he could control but it was probably twice what should have been paid for him.
Thing is if you take him out who replaces him? I dont rate him but United are hardly spoilt for choice at centre half

He's not an 80m defender that is for sure, but last season he was in better form than he is right now and most United fans were happy that it was Maguire with A. N. Other. So something has affected his form that a break could iron out.

I don’t particularly have sympathy for him. I just want him not to be in the side right now as he’s in shocking form. Whether he takes a holiday or just sits on the bench, the guy needs to be taken out for his own good. I’d say the same for an £80 million English CB or a Japanese player bought for £1 million.
The only bit I do not agree with there Robb is that I have no sympathy for him. It was self inflicted.
i think its safe to say noone really knows what went on in Greece, (well apart from the nonce arab) both sides giving very different takes on what happened.
certainly wouldnt be the first time the greek authorities were a bit heavy handed and OTT.
i do think for his own state of mind he maybe needs a short break because he looks a broken man and that kind of thing can spiral quickly
