Agree 100% ghod.

If that was last season, Forster saves that header and we might have got away with.

Best thing Lennon has done is bring Forster back.
Worst thing is trying to replace him with the Greek Freak.

I'm not going to jump on Barkas just yet, he hasn't had a settled defence in front of him yet

however that was a massive error but all goalkeepers make errors

Brown was our best player which probably summed up the rest of them.

Welsh and Laxalt could hold their heads high I felt but the rest were an utter disgrace.

Callum McGregor and Ntcham should face a firing squad of paint balls for that performance.

Was a bit strange as i was buzzing for it till i saw the empty stadium then the buzz kinda died away.

Missing 4 out and out first team players. Arguably our best 4 in each position was a telling factor as well. I think the empty stadium didnt help, but that looked like a team that had 5 debutants.

Lennon wont go. Hell see out this season till the end regardless

Edouard, El Hammed and Biton make a massive difference to that team.

Add in Julien, Forrest & Christie even into the squad as well and that’s the only part I have sympathy with Lennon.

He basically had 4 players of that starting 11 to work with for 2 weeks, the other 7 only got back Thursday so in that regard he does have a bit of leeway.

I thought McGregor started the game well first 15-20mins then total disappearing act

agree on Welsh and Laxalt, looking forward to seeing more of both of them

everytime we whipped a crosses in from the right Laxalt was the only one attacking them which summed us up

Bitton was a massive loss, Duffy must've gave the ball away 3 or 4 times when he was put under pressure

It's the lack of fight we're showing in these games which is alarming, Lennon would be the first if we a team he was in were playing poorly to make sure we made up for it in other ways, this team just look awful at the moment in all departments

Whats the deal with mcgregor? I always thought he was your best player but form seems to have fallen off a cliff for a year or so.

As for the crowd being an issue, i actually think that saved you losing by more. no way would they have been ok with you passing it about your own 3rd. would have forced you to open up which i think kent, tav and borna would have exploited

On the evidence of the past few games I don’t think Forrest would’ve made much difference cos he’s been an empty jersey in OF games recently.

Also Ntcham might have quality but I’ve not seen much from him either in previous games apart from being a lazy khunt.

Eddy was certainly a miss for you guys but it’s a squad game and there should always be ready replacements fightin to get their chance.

McGregor has arguably been our best player this season, that's not saying much tbh

he was driving forward the ball in the early stages on Saturday then just totally disappeared

Why he played 3 at the back is beyond me. We havent looked settled since he changed to this tactic.

He needs to go back to 4-4-2 like last year and build on it.

We made it easy for them with that tactic.

Two of our most important signings were goallekeeper and centre half and neither have made a good start. By biggest concern this season is Lenny's inability to change a game.

I thought McGreggor looked your like your only player in first half that was dangerous going forward and caused us issues. Can’t mind seeing him touch the ball in the second half.

You seemed to miss Edouard up top massively to provide a spark. We probably rely on 3 players in the team, Kent, Barisic and Tav. So think injuries could play a big role in rest of season.

It wasn’t the fact we were beaten. I expected that. It wasn’t that we had so many automatic picks unavailable. We knew what we were dealing with.

It’s more the feel that they all went into that game expecting to be beaten and when the first goal went in, it felt like they just gave up any notion of getting back into the game or even trying to. Even the huge miss from Ely seemed to come out of nowhere and he looked as shocked as anyone to find himself one on one with McGregor and a simple lift of the ball over him to equalise.

Very concerning but as I’ve maintained it will all depend upon how we react. I don’t think Rangers will self implode this time around. They look like they’re taking nothing for granted this time and mean business. Easily seen why they are now the favourites for the league.

It’s up to us now but with the next window only 10 weeks away I’d dump Ntcham for good now and start playing Ajeti and any other than Edouard up top consistently. His head has gone.

There was zero energy, ponderous and predictable, an embarrassment of a performance.
Rangers didn't seem as if they were firing on all cylinders either but they knew what they were about, Celtic were just mince.

if we have everyone fit I'd play this

Barkas

Bitton
Duffy/Jullien
Ajer

Forrest/Elhamed/Frimpong
Brown
McGregor
Christie
Laxalt

Edouard
Ajeti

Agree on walsh and laxalt.

It was good to see laxalt before Lennon really has the chance to mess with his game and fack him up.

The before and after will be interesting.

I'm just hoping Laxalt isn't guilty of just not being Taylor

he did look decent at times, loves a tackle, seemed to be positive on the ball, his crossing was ok just nobody there on the end of it

based on how we are playing i have no confidence that we would have won anyway.

manager has no tactical nous

Not going to blame Barkas. That first goal the ball in was good and with that trajectory the keeper has no cluse how solid a contact the attacker is going to get so where it is going. Yes, it was within reach but going at pace. Slo-mo replays look awful but real time he had no reaction time.

BTW I an putting it down to intelligence by Goldson. Whether by luck or design he joined the attack late and our defenders were too slow in picking him up if indeed that was the order because it looked a zonal formation? I say looked like because like the rest of the pitch I have no clue and couldn't see any plan other than go and do your best, guys? Ely did no favours either.

posted on 19/10/20

i think we can agree that brown isnt the problem in that team but he is the one to get the blame when we arent creative.

thats not his duty, its ntcham and mcregor and they didn't create nearly enough

second goal i feel the keeper should launch himself at it as should the rest.

where is the desire to keep that out the net
