And was AFTP right to say this constant (and quite heavy) rotation doesn’t work?

Find your best team, stick with it and tweak it when players are looking a bit tired or the game is already won.

I'll tell you what Sizz, it is refreshing to hear a Spurs manager have a pop at his players rather than suger coat the whole thing.

I hope the players who were selected whom were hooked off start uping there game.

Yeah but how many more times Eddie? Pretty sure he would have had a pop at them after the West Ham game, and even yesterday at half time! Why isn’t it cutting through?

And anybody else get the feeling that was the last chance saloon for Dele?

Why can’t the manager get the players motivated or come up with the tactics to beat Antwerp?

We had enough talent out there

Sin, Kane, bale, holberg, all played a large amount of time, plus his own signings vinny and Bergwijn.

When do we start thinking the manager isn’t good enough as well?

Jose is very good at deflecting focus away from himself when things are going badly, and at making it all about himself when things are going well.

Yesterday he literally threw the kitchen sink at that game to try and salvage something. It didn’t work.

Weak mentality players, or either they don't listen to Jose. I suppose it's like any job, if you don't do something for a while your a bit of the pace, I watched the highlights as I missed the game due to work, but fsck me we were chit in the first half, and not much better second. I can't believe Sanchez Is a pro footballer he is so poor, he is the new Colin Caldeerwood.

Bale looks unfit, Dele imo is finished as well.

It was one of those games where the opposition want it so much more than us that you can't begrudge them it. Such a shame with Dele its easy to forget how good/important he was for us not that long ago. The day we broke our Bridge hoodoo he was brilliant.

As I said last night it was as if we found it too much of an effort to match their commitment. I would say that it should be a kick up the rse but surely the West Ham game provided that?

Its very early days but already its a case of which Spurs is gonna turn up, when we are good we are electric but when we are bad we are shocking?

From Man Utd to THAT, in what two weeks?

I think it highlights that too many changes causes issues. Especially when a few of those are unfit/off the pace. Dele, Bale, Berg and GLC were all going to be unfit considering they have either not played or just came back from injury.

We will still win the group.

Issue for me is what what said earlier, we arent learning as a team.

Antwerp will win all their home games and the group, we will be slugging it out for runners up.

Jose was hundred percent to blame for yesterday.
He should take blame here and not deflect.
He should stop pointing fingers publicly they are going to turn on him fast.

I think we win every game meet in the group. It comes down to our result v Antwerp at home where we will win.

posted on 30/10/20

Yea. We should be winning every game left in the group. Losing lastnight isn't an issue for winning the group, it's the bigger problem where we thought our squad was strong. It's not.

posted on 30/10/20

Well we should have won last night too, but didn’t. Not sure how you can say we’ll win all our remaining games.

posted on 30/10/20

It's just my opinion mate.

posted on 30/10/20

I know, but based on last night I’m not confident about winning any game.

The United game was an anomaly. They crumbled the moment they went down to 10 men.

Course its an anomaly. Beating United at Old Trafford like that can only be boasted by 2 teams and we are one of them. Every game has its own path it takes so let's not belittle it.

We aren't going to get results like that often so we should enjoy it but not use as a benchmark.

Whilst the squad is not as strong as some supporters are going OTT over and a selection of players are not learning or improving, the rotation and individual performances is not why we lost that game.

Antwerp played an amazing game against us, they're well drilled, press brilliantly and defended amazingly. We set up similarly to the Burnley game and much like we have seen in poor performances over the last 2 years, passive and slow build up play.

Against Burnley we didn't lose because they sit back and are compact, they do not press like Antwerp did last night.

Assuming we would have won with our 'strongest XI' is pure ignorance as we have lost plenty of games with these turgid displays and being out fought and desired by the opposition, even what people would call our best team playing.

Jose has had a good season so far and the two games we dropped points from winning positions in the league he was not at fault, but last night he lost it and had a nightmare. Hopefully only just a blip, accept the opposition were great and that smaller teams win games over the 'bigger ones frequently. A lot of sides would have had a difficult night last night.
