I've donated to a food bank as per the Wolves fan's campaign rather than pay.
I'll find a stream elsewhere or go to the pub to watch any PPV games. Our first PPV one is tonight.

Good on those who’ve donated to food banks rather than to the bare faced greed of the Prem.
There are reports strongly suggesting after international break they will lower the price to £9.95. Apparently they’ve still made decent money off it (sceptical on that, think the reports have come from press releases from the PL and so may not want to admit any monetary failure) but main reason for reducing price is PR image.
I think a fair price for the initiative should be about £5 but that is wishful thinking. Even bringing it down to £9.95 is in line with the rest of The Football League.

It's still cheaper than going to the pub to watch it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You underestimate my ability to nurse a pint.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm too entrenched now to pay any money towards this under the current PPV scheme.
If they bring out a system where you can pay a subscription to watch all games of your team or even all Premier League games; then I might be interested. As it is, with the PPV for individual games; I just see it as a shameless money grabbing attempt where an industry worth billions is trying to fleece normal people so they don't have to make any financial provisions like everyone else during the pandemic.
It is pretty clear the current PPV system is not about making football accessible to fans during this period; but solely to make money.
Not a chance I`ll be paying to watch any PPV game, I will find stream and spend the £14.95 on a nice bottle of red (or two) instead, then drown my sorrows after Dier has sliced into his own net in the last minute.
It's a con, really, because we all know most Prem clubs don't get their money from matchday revenue, and it would have been a great gesture to continue showing all the surplus games on Sky, BT, Amazon Prime and the BBC. An easy win, but like with the proposed talk of the super league and Project Big Picture, it's all about the money to many of these high-ranking execs.
- - - - - - - -
Spurs Matchday is in the region of £100m, up from about £45m on old WHL.
While the large part of our revenue is TV you cannot tell me that no matchday will not leave a massive hole in our accounts. By the time we get back to full stadium we would have lost at least 50-75% of that annual revenue.

Even if the price was considered fair the product is devalued without fans in the stadium, even for a TV audience.
The usual subscriptions paid for the allocated games should have also been reduced because it's not the same product.
The same for any boxing ppv events if they are held without crowds.

Well I haven`t been to the pub since March, and I don`t notice the price of beer coming down. I save plenty by not paying £5 a pint London prices by not going to the pub, so why would I deprive myself of watching my club play because they are asking just under £15, when I am coming up to 72 years of age. What is the point?

Ain’t just the money, it’s the principle. If I wanted to, I could easily fork out the money for these Spurs games, but if I start paying for it and every other mug does, this gives them the ammunition to continue with this farcical Box office. I think if enough people protest with their wallet and that’s by giving them as little as possible, they will eventually knock this on the head and actually put more games on Sky and Bt for the people like myself who actually pay enough money as it is.
