John Percy reporting that talks are at an "advanced" stage.
Heard about this a few weeks ago but after it went quiet I thought it had gone flat
As much as I'm a big fan of MM this has to be a good thin for DCFC
Messi, Lewandowski and Mbappe set to join in January.
Bet Steve Gibson's putting his objection in as we speak...
Daily Telegraph reporting EFL are set to fully approve the takeover in the next few days. Morris to stay on as "consultant". Gibson expected to spontaneously combust shortly.
Might even be enough cash to give Chris Martin that 2-year deal he wanted.
Season ticket refund probably still too much to hope for though.
I wouldn't watch Derby again if those murdering thieves owned the club. What doth it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul.
Rumours of hats flying into the air throughout Derby, especially belonging to those who tend to sit near Spart on match days.
You can sell your birthright for a mess of pottage if you want. Look at the human rights record of Abu Dhabi. Man City supporters can ignore it but I thought Derby supporters were made of better material.

Yes, righto Spart
Well obviously not then. At least the gangster at Forest is an honest crook.
On paper it may sound 'good', filthy rich owner, related to Man City owners = £££
I've never been a fan of foreign ownership, so many clubs have been run incredibly badly, Portsmouth under vast Russian owners comes to mind.
I understand what Spart is trying to say as it's something I detest the UAE for- but football fans in general would look past their shockingly poor humans right record if it meant success to the club.
I'm pleased that Mel is going as he has run the club backwards for a few years now, however I worry about Philip Cocu remaining in a job and the development of our Academy players.

Apparently "Steve Bloomer's Watching" is to be replaced by "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35".

Agreed Spart.
I suppose if these people buy the club, women won't be allowed to attend and that Sian Massey will have to keep away. No bacon rolls either.

Stupid comment VC10.
That's what happens in their countries Des.
It was supposed to be a light hearted comment!
You're thinking of Saudi Arabia possibly? Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan is an Emirati, rules in Abu Dhabi are more relaxed.
Possibly is a light hearted comment VC10 and I may have misread it but the way it comes across to me is you're implying they're Muslim so will ban women and take away 'our pork rolls.'
The ruling families of Abu Dhabi have systematically appropriated almost all the nation's wealth for themselves. If anyone objects they are arrested, imprisoned often without trial, frequently tortured and sometimes executed.
I know we had Maxwell and the three Amigos as owners but they are like choir boys compared to the feudal despots of the Arabian peninsula.

I'm afraid I'm with Spart on this once his comments have been disseminated.
It does not sit comfortably with me having owners from a country that violates so much human rights. Women's rights anyone? We've all got a mother.
Something like this is just a buy into 'respectability'.
I have a sense of disquiet
Good God, I'm agreeing with View now!!!!!
