Well of course they are, but I wouldn't necessarily say the season ends with any injury to either of them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It won`t mate. Funny how Spurs season will end if they lose their best players, but Liverpool`s wouldn`t if they lost Salah and Mane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They'd ofcourse be fecked if they had mass injuries but i think they have the depth to ride out a 2/3 injuries aslong as one of them isn't Alisson. They are hardly struggling without VVD, Fabinho and Thiago are they?

The only other team i feel have similar quality depth to get away with it are Chelsea (providing it's not Mendy or Silva who go down).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs have a much deeper squad than Liverpool. They are not having to bring on 34 year olds, when one of their players gets injured. Even last year with both Son and Kane missing they still finished 5th.

This year they are comfortably competing in three different competitions with the FA Cup still to come. Liverpool couldn`t even compete in the League Cup with their squad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually you finished 6th, Leicester were 5th 😉
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My apologies. Leicester got lucky.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but not as lucky as when we won the league.

Such a deep squad yet you couldn't even field a strong enough team to avoid defeat against a mediocre Antwerp in the EL.

You may ask why I said mediocre, quite simple really, they weren't good enough to qualify for the CL.

Oh and as far as Milner is concerned, he's probably the most versatile player in the league. He has played in RB, LB, CDM, CM, AM, LW & RW roles during his career. Most of spurs back line can't even play properly in their preferred roles
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A narrow defeat at Antwerp with a reserve side, isn`t as bad a 7-2 first XI embarrassment at the hands of Villa. I know which result I could live with.

posted on 9/11/20

Give over with the reserve team rubbish. You were (and still are) bigging up your squad depth so you can't use 'reserve team' as an excuse. You shouldn't be using reserves if you really have such a deep squad.
Also how many of these reserves played in the Antwerp game? Don't bother answering because we both know not a single reserve player did.
https://spurs.fandom.com/wiki/Tottenham_Hotspur_Reserves_and_Academy

Oh and using the freak result against villa as a deflection tactic shows you have no real argument.

Hardly, merely pointed out that a team losing 1-0 with a reserve team, is not the same as somebody getting mashed 7-2 with their full strength team.

Never said it did, I was just taking the pi$$ because you said we were lucky but just like 2015/16 we were better than you last season that’s why we finished above you. Nothing to do with luck.

We’re also above you now and have been all season apart from 28 minutes. I’m sure I remember being assured that we would never finish above Spurs ever again but in fact it only took us four years to completely rebuild our squad and achieve that. Would you bet that we won’t finish above you again this season?

I watched the WBA game, only time I’ve seen Spurs play this season, and I was shocked at how poor you looked. Passing was awful and you created nothing but your new full back looked good. I presume that was just a poor game and not indicative of how you’ve been playing as a whole? Not on a wind up (for once) just genuinely curious 👍
