Frank was a bit chubby (for a footballer) during his West Ham days!
the fat boy abuse clearly got to him from the West Ham days so thats why it was kept up
its in your interest not to openly complain about something in the media or fans will jump on it it seems
Hate it when sky refer to the Liverpool vs Man Utd games as derbies. No they are not derbies at all, they never refer to Everton vs Man Utd as a derby.
6 pointer!!!!
no team has ever won 6 points in a game.
Or when a game that is played in January gets mentioned as a possible title decider!

Never understood why every left footer, has a 'good left foot'

“Wand of a left foot”

I'm reminded of Peter Cook & Dudley Moore
Dud is a one legged actor applying for the part of Tarzan
Peter Cook says "now look, it's a lovely left leg I've got nothing against your left leg...nothing at all...
Unfortunately - neither have you...
“ you can clearly see contact when Kane/Son/salah/mane went down. Justified Penalty’”
" He wouldn't have made it in my day !"

The main one for me was Liverpool fans regularly being told that next year would be our year
Lampard did seem to score a lot of deflected goals though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was more bantering though as liverpool fans use to say it no?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same reason why the comments are targeted at Lampard
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because Chelsea fans use to say he was fat frank or scored deflected goals? I don’t remember that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evidently the bantering point. Both are loosely based on something that has happened but isn’t really a thing
If we are talking about football specific expressions ‘hit it too well’ is comfortably the most stupid

I think that does make sense as a saying though. If you are locked in a relegation battle and beat one of your rivals, the fact that they don’t get three points is as crucial as the fact you do.
He did everything right except for the finish.
" If he was two footed, he'd be brilliant ! "
surely that's a penalty reff, every united game
now that the dust has settled
Too good to go down!
about teams struggling against relegation.....there's a reason they are struggling against relegation, they're not bloody good enough!
"There are no easy games in football."
"They're a big side so this corner will be dangerous" - when the stats show that team are not dangerous at corners at all.
"For a small guy he's good with his head".
"2-0 up is a dangerous position" is a classic
I remember years ago Darren Anderton talking about motivation to keep playing when the games won, but it made come out with "it's never easy when you're 4-0 up". Cracked me up
'Play them into form'
Doesnt come up as much these days
More something i just disagree with than a stupid idea
Fact! After a passionate statement to make it so.
We don't see too much "facting" anymore..and good riddance

why even ask though...?
Just before half time is the perfect time to score.I take it the other 85 minutes aren't as important a time to score then.
