Gascogne is the most talented player I have seen play live , followed by John Barnes

George Best by a country mile if including the whole of the UK.
Jimmy Greaves & Bobby Moore.
Bobby Charlton? Before my time.
Best I've seen a lot of is Rooney, no question.
Rooney
Just getting in there before Barry
George best hands down...even as a LFC supporter I can see Best was remarkable
George Best, Bobby Moore, Tom Finney, Bobby Charlton. Rooney and Bale wouldn't really get close for an all time list. Ashley Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard are up there with the best in their positions.

Of course Best

From what I've seen from highlights etc, Best would be above Charlton on my list but that is on personal taste but that's if we're just keeping it to talent/football.That said, I didn't watch any of them play 90 minutes so I don't really feel like I can have a strong opinion on either.
Scholes is a cheat as he once punched the ball into the gol n did not demand the ref disallow it.
This negate everything good about him.
Best was a genius but didnt fulfill his promise for obvious reasons
Charlton ticked nearly every box and far as major honours are concerned bar a European nations cup winner medal.
Maybe because he only retired in 2006 but Alan Shearer may be considered one of England's best ever players when nostalgia kicks in!
Can't look beyond Carlton Palmer

Fair play. Can't really argue with that. He would be my shout of the generations before mine but again, I don't feel confident naming him above players I've watched play. All I have to go on is youtube highlights.
I can't give it to anyone on the basis of clips and history which means nobody pre 1990 so for me it's between Steven Gerrard and Paul Gascoigne.
Bale was more impressive at his peak but he left too early and wasn't quite the same player at Madrid, if he could do that again for a season or two and win things then he will be.

Shearer

The thing is when you look at his numbers he should be in the conversation and he was feared as a player but other than being a great goal scorer, what else can you really say about him? Lets say Kane overtakes him on goals scored in the prem. Would that stop him from being your GOAT?
In Scotland it's Barry Ferguson.
John Charles
George Best
Denis Law
Bobby Charlton
George Best
Bobby Charlton
Dennis Law/Kenny Dalglish I can't separate tjose two.
